Coming later this year, a new anime based on the 1964 manga. There have already been 3 anime series, and 5 anime films, the latest being in 2016.

The story follows a global organization known as Black Ghost, which seeks to lock the world into eternal war. Black Ghost captures nine men and women and turns them into cyborg soldiers, but the cyborgs rebel and fight against Black Ghost.

Nice, I enjoyed watching one of the anime series when I was younger, but from what I recall it was never finished, storywise.. though I recall they did wrap up the Blakc Ghost threat?

Wonder if this is a sidestory, reboot or continuation.. but we'll find out soon enough, I guess.

Debut expected in the summer.
