The anime centres on a fearsome samurai, once feared on the battlefield for his great skill. But after his clan came to ruin, he has since lived a quiet and humble life, his intimidating face the only proof of his previous warrior life. One day, he encounters a curious corgi dog, who he is immediately taken with, and they begin a life together.

The series is unusual in that there will be FOUR versions of the story broadcast in different slots each week.

"Wan Wan" version will start October 10 and will run every Thursday, featuring Akio Otsuka as Tono.

"Pote Pote" version will start October 11 and will air every Friday, featuring Tomokazu Sugita as Tono.

"Kun Kun" version will start October 13 and will air every Sunday, featuring Shunsuke Takuechi as Tono.

"Mofu Mofu" version will start October 15 and will air every Tuesday, featuring Masaki Aiba as Tono.
