Writers of Weathering With You and Your Name.

Suzume is premiering in the UK on Friday. I managed to grab a ticket for the Panton Cinema in London.
If the previous movies are anything to go by then Suzume is going to be good.
I've already read the synopsis and I can't wait to watch this one.

If I wasn't in post op recovery, I'd certainly be tempted. Just about every cinema in Sheffield is showing it, so I would be spoilt for choice.

I recommend it. In my opinion it's better than Your Name.

They were advertising it during ads on Hulu, (yesterday). I'll wait and buy or stream it But yeah, it does look good.

Daijin's a bit of a trickster, but I understand what they're really looking for.

In Japanese folklore cats, foxes, raccoons and other small animals are none to be tricksters.

Saw it tonight and thought it was fantastic. Of the trilogy of films, I'll rank this second between "Your Name" first and "Weathering with You" at third. Like the other two films, it's an exploration of natural disasters through fantasy and supernatural elements and the confrontation of memories, and done absolutely well with a few frightening moment Anime music box (considering recent Japanese events). Great casting, fun choice of 70s/80s Japanese music and there's a fun obvious Ghibli reference in there as well with "Kiki's Delivery Service" in one scene. Anime message

I went looking for it, but I'm not seeing it. Possibly it's limited by region, and not open here yet.

I saw it a while back, first proper anime I've seen on the big screen unless you count Howl's Moving Castle a few years back.

Crunchyroll aren't streaming it, at least not yet. They have the rights for the USA and Canada distribution, and have arranged for it to be re-released in about 200 theatres in North America. I guess they want to add to the $10 million that it took in the first release.

The film had a second run in Japan as well, when it was re-shown to celebrate the release of the DVD and Blu-Ray.
