Gamera Rebirth

Back in the 1960's, in an attempt to copy TOHO's commercial success with the Godzilla franchise, Daiei produced their own giant monster hero, Gamera. This flying turtle monster went on to feature in 12 films, the last being in 2006.
Kadokawa have now announced that they have a new Gamera project in development. Whilst they are still pretty close lipped on the subject, it is known that Netflix are on board with an agreement to stream the production worldwide. Live-action or animated, we will have to wait and see.
A trailer has been streaming in the Kadokawa anime youtube channel.
Not much to go on from that.
Here is Gamera in action from its' early days.
Oh, the memories!
