Tetsuro Araki talks about Bubble

Your the Chief Director of Attack on Titan, and you also have Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress under your belt. What do you do next?

Well, you direct an original feature for a worldwide release on Netflix of course.

Welcome to Bubble. An ONA currently streaming on Netflix. MAL describes the feature...

In a Tokyo where gravity has broken, a boy and a girl are drawn to each other...

The story is set in Tokyo, after bubbles that broke the laws of gravity rained down upon the world. Cut off from the outside world, Tokyo has become a playground for a group of young people who have lost their families, acting as a battlefield for parkour team battles as they leap from building to building.

Hibiki, a young ace known for his dangerous play style, makes a reckless move one day and plummets into the gravity-bending sea. His life is saved by Uta, a girl with mysterious powers. The pair then hear a unique sound audible only to them.

Why did Uta appear before Hibiki? Their encounter leads to a revelation that will change the world.

I must say, this is looking great, and the soundtrack is also promising. I'll watch it asp, and who knows it may kick me back into writing reviews.

I didn't cry but I really liked the movie a lot. I was surprised at the beginning when saw the Warner Brothers logo.
I did also like the idea of the bubble and the references that were being made in the whole movie.

Even though the ending was basically shouted out in the middle of the movie, I still cried.

The action scenes were well animated and directed, and the story concept was a refreshing twist on an old tale. They even had a stab at inclusion, although his "disability" seems to have been inexplicably cured by the end.

Yes, I don't want to give away too many spoilers. He did seem to come out of his shell quickly.

That sounds like it could have been uncomfortable.
