Lot of developments for a single episode.
It was apparently setup. The second season is a different stage entirely.

Now, the question after episode 3 is:

wow looks good

episode 4. There was a third option concerning William Minerva.
Well, it's not terribly groundbreaking either.
The story will be better with the ep 4 development.

From the looks of it, they are either skipping or delaying an extremely crucial arc. Goldy Pond ARC introduces some characters that become pivotal at the end of the manga. And it also gives Emma an extra nudge into her future decisions and actions. But the anime has failed to introduce the character that leads to Goldy Pond. My question is whether the anime will omit this arc or is modifying the storyline a bit to introduce it later on. I hope its shown because its one of the best arcs.

I just watched episode 4 and its so disappointing. They skipped all of Goldy Pond arc which also skips pivotal events and characters. Also, Isabella being sent to get the kids back never happens in the manga and right now it ruins her character. I hope the anime fixes this or I'll be extremely disillusioned.

Episode 5. Horrible.
In 5 episodes the anime skipped 84 chapters.

Wait, there are missing massive chunks of the manga?! Any ideas what volume / chapter when season 2 piveted away?

They skipped from chapter 52 to chapter 103.
