Just wondered if anyone has seen the Aku No Hana / Flowers of Evil anime?  If so, is it worth watching?

I've seen it.

It's good. Enjoying it probably takes a perverse fascination or a want of depressive catharsis, though. Misery's want of company. I think I was depressed when I watched it, and I loved it. It was like rubbing shit all over your body and wallowing in how shitty shit is and how much you want the world to burn.

The art style is unique, and that's part of the effect really. It's like the anime version of not liking HD because people are gross in high definition.

It's good though. As long as you're not expecting something happy, it's worth watching.

Haha that is a great description, definitely curious to watch it now. I saw it mentioned online and thought it might be similar to Welcome to the NHK which is just about my favourite anime of all time. Sounds like Aku is a bit less optimistic though haha.

Gonna order the dvd from Amazon tonight and watch it over the next week i think :=D:
