Halloween will be here before you know it. It's the season of the witch, where the unknown knock in the night.
So, what's your favorite horror anime?
At the top of my head, I have to say Jigoku Shoujo - Hell Girl.
The premise is simple enough. A website that is only open at midnight. Enter the name of someone you wish revenge on, and you'll receive a visit from Hell Girl. Untie the red string from around the neck of the straw doll, and your victim will be dragged to hell.
Of course, there's a cost to pay. Your soul now belongs to hell, so when you die, the red-eyed girl in the flower kimono will come for you as well.
Oh, pitiful shadow lost in the darkness, bringing torment and pain to others.
Oh damned soul wallowing in your sin, perhaps it is time to die?

Hell Girl is one of my favourites. higurashi no naku koro ni is another horror anime that I like. :-)

A few years ago we (the forum) watched Corpse Party for Halloween and it was awesome.
It's a movie length series of OVAs about a group of highschoolers who do an occult ritual for lulz and end up trapped in a horror world created by a vengeful ghost.
I loved the end when you realize how the main character tricked the girls into leaving him behind because they didn't have enough talismans for all of them to escape.

Yeah that was a interesting ending and a classic horror trope when you think you all escape but someone had to stay behind.

Kuroshitsuji / Black Butler
We know there was a fire that destroyed the Phantomhive mansion, killing both of Ciel's parents and his dog. The boy himself was thought dead as well, until he shows up unexpectedly in the company of Sebastian, who now works as Ciel's very impressive butler.
However, Ciel has inherited more than his family's fortune, lands and factories. His father's role as the Queen's watchdog has passed onto him, where he is called on to investigate both threats to England and to the crown. But there's another thing the boy is investigating - the people responsible for the death of his family and his kidnapping.
And once the contract is satisfied, the cat-loving demon known as Sebastian will devour Ciel's soul.
