I have been noticing in the past few months,
That a Lot of the anime boards have been
shutting down
like Toonami faithful
and now on august 12/2020
the Funimation boards only
are shutting down too
is this board shutting down too?

I'm sure they have reasons. AL doesn't depend on reason.

but with Funimation board shutting down, and with there Streaming service still up, it is like
a one legged dude in a butt kicking contest
& how could discord replace the boards?

Discord is ok for gaming but not so much for getting know to people I find. Discord is better for Voice Chat than say Skype. It feels Funimation just doesn't want to keep their servers up for the boards and rather concentrate on getting more paid members for their streaming service

makes sense for them.
I like discord for chat, but nah, forums are better for community.
Plus I can't have sigs on discord, and sigs and gfx are... apparently an outdated culture but its my culture.

Discord is good for chatting but I agree forums are better for discussions. Truthfully though most of what was posted on the Funimation forum were chats anyways. Not all though.
It’s why I never really bothered with their forums. So their move to Discord isn’t surprising. It’s surprising they waited until now.

It's irrelevant to AL. AL will exist as long as mike feels like it, and mike's not going to stop feeling like it anytime soon.
