I've been watching Black Clover.
Back when this first started airing, I found Asta's voice to be so annoying I couldn't stand watching it and read the manga instead.
Asta's voice is still annoying.
But good lord the later seasons of this have some killer animation. And the OP music selections are great. I suppose its success means it has to be counted as a mainstream shonen now.
This (ep 115+) demon arc reminds me of D Gray Man. I've considered rewatching D Gray Man. Wasn't it also considered mainstream at one point? Hmm maybe not. But it was also pretty successful and then everyone forget about it. I remember liking it, but that was well over a decade ago now. I wonder if it was actually good. I'll rewatch it eventually.
You know, I feel like, the person who directs Black Clover and the person in charge of the OPs have different ideas of what this show should be. OP dude is artsy metal and director is shonen jump boi who appreciates comedy. Maybe that's on purpose though. Like trying to compensate.
When I realized the girl that's in the new OP and ED is Nero I busted up laughing. Nero becomes a tsundere chick. Fucking lol.
Whoa, ep 117 totally unravels the world mythos. This is well put together.
God damn. Nero is new best girl.
