Let's have a moment of silence for all the victims. I am sure we will all remember everything they have created. I think this is a really tragic event for the whole anime community. Rest in peace.

Re: Kyoto Animation burned—33 people died
I've read somewhere that Sentai Filmworks has put together a collection for the family affected by this.
I also believe that the guy that did this should go down for a very long time and never see the light of day again.

Re: Kyoto Animation burned—33 people died
"The man suspected of carrying out an arson attack on a prominent animation studio in Kyoto, killing 33 people, has told police that he started the fire because the company stole his novel, investigative sources have told the Mainichi Shimbun."
"Investigators, however, have been unable to confirm the alleged theft, and Kyoto Prefectural Police suspect that the man held a grudge against the company as a result of his one-sided view. "
"Investigative sources said the man suspected of carrying out the attack is aged 41 and is believed to live in an apartment in Saitama's Minuma Ward north of Tokyo. He reportedly had gotten involved in an incident in the past that resulted in him going into a private rehabilitation facility in Saitama Prefecture. He had never worked at Kyoto Animation, and no clear point of connection between him and the animation studio has been found."

Do you have a link to the collection?
Re: Kyoto Animation burned—33 people died

I donated, it's impressive that the anime community has come together and in the two days that sentai filmwork's go fund me has been active that it's raised 1.7 million dollars
I doubt kyoani will accept the donations and we'll all get refunds but I'd rather see kyoani get back on their feet and the families for the 33 killed and however many where injured looked after.

Yes, it's very impressive!
Re: Kyoto Animation burned—33 people died
T_T what an awful thing, 33 people, I was shocked when I have heard about it, some people are so horrible...
Re: Kyoto Animation burned—33 people died
Very sad when I heard about it on Twitter. I'm glad you can purchase digital things directly from them to support the losses.

Re: Kyoto Animation burned—34 people died
You go into work, the last thing on your mind is it will be your last day, it is hard to know what to say to be honest.
Re: Kyoto Animation burned—34 people died
All victims have now been identified. The names of some of the victims have been made known to the general public.
