so I haven't actually watched anime in months, i just haven't been able to get into any because most of what comes out just seems garbage. What do you recommend i watch? I need help here lol.

Well there's a special form of garbage for everyone. I like isekai garbage.
I've neither heard of nor could conceive of anyone calling any of these garbage:
Shin Sekai Yori
Irozuku: the world in colors
AICO Incarnation
BECK Mongolian Chop Squad
ERASED
Skip Beat
If you want to be more specific about what's not garbage to you I could do that too.
