I didn't think about the character ramifications of Nezuko being able to explode blood. It seems tenuous, but I suppose everything is a conscious choice so it's probably the case that her being able to explode blood is symbolic of her disdain for it.
it would be really nice if she could explode blood while it was still inside the body but of course that's not the case. It's easily explainable by needing gaseous oxygen, so that's fine.
I initially thought it was only her blood that she could explode and that she was able to break the threads around Tanjiro because she was above them and her blood flowed down on them, but instead I guess it makes more sense that the blood the demon put into the threads was what she exploded.

I also didn't think about Nezuko having to sleep for possibly years after this. That seems plausible.

Yeah, I think some of his ideas are not 100% based in what we know at this point from the anime only (he might've read the manga, so maybe he based it on that as well) and they seem to be guesses, but they are educated guesses, so they might as well be correct.
