Yes, you're right. I think she's just a bit lost in all of that. Love is a new thing to her. And she seems to be more of a shut-in type. I think she just doesn't know how to deal with it properly. She just tries things. I suppose the kissing thing was probably a kind of a test she did to check if she's really in love with him. I suppose the test was positive, so she'll now have to think.

And honestly even though I saw it, I can't really accept that Hina has feelings for Natsuo. It feels forced. It has to be this way because it's a harem. It was doing well both inside and outside the genre otherwise.

Hmm… I am not sure what to think about Hina. I only know that I dislike her a bit. I see 3 options, kind-of.

Option number 1 (badly written): Hina is just not as well written as other characters. That's why her "love" (really?) feels forced. The author tried to add a common female anime character type into the set. Unfortunately it didn't work so well, because the other characters are so much better. This type of a character works in a traditional "silly" harem, but it won't work in this.

Option number 2 (critical on the meta level, this is unlikely): It might be on purpose to show how silly these character types are, but I think this option is not very likely, because there are no other critical elements on the meta level.

Option number 3 (silly): Hina is really meant to be this silly. It's on purpose and with all consequences. She's not meant to be liked, unless the viewer is too brainwashed by watching too many harem shows or they have some weird ideas about how women should behave.

From what you've said, you think it's option 1, right?
