I might give Alicization a look at some point. Lack of originality and poor writing and characterization are exactly why I hated the original, so if it steps things up in those respects it could be decent.

Did I forget any older but good anime in my list?

I mean there's a lot of mecha I'd add but if you're not a big mecha fan then no you're probably not missing it.

Not all that old but I'd definitely have Monster on my list, I don't recall seeing that one ITT yet.

I couldn't get into Monster myself.

I just thought of Gargantia on the Verduous Planet though. That might need to be in my top 50.
I don't remember how good the characters or the plot was, but I really liked the world and the art.

Yeah, I'm not a mecha fan, that's why they're missing.

I haven't seen Monster yet, that's why it's missing.

There are probably some position I'm missing. Either I haven't seen them, I just forgot to add them or I didn't like them.

This list contains many (especially older) anime I haven't seen yet. I'm adding them to my backlog now.

Hmm, thought a lot whether or not to add Leda to my list. I haven't done it yet, but I think I'll do it now.

Haha, Irresponsible Captain Tyler made that list.

That would also be in my top 20 if I were ranking based on preference.

Oh yeah, I forgot about Utena.

Hmmmmmmm. No, it doesn't make my list.

Kimagure Orange Road was good too, but probably not for my list.

I think all in all I don't think a whole lot of that list. Maybe it's just outdated.

I think it's about the older stuff. It seems interesting as a source of good older anime. (But to be honest, some titles from that list didn't end up on my top list despite the fact that I've seen them.)

@Momogari

No, I mean, my list is more based on my personal preferences. It'd be really hard to create the list otherwise. I'd need to think depply about ALL ANIME. But I just don't remember all of them enough to make a principled decision. I'd need to rewatch all of them, lol, to have my memory refreshed.
