Very few areas in US politics can move as quickly as Hartford did. I'm pretty sure in most cases Mayor's can't just up and make laws. Of course, the president has an area that can do that to some degree, so maybe mayors do too.
OK. It's good to know.

Yeah, first think, then act type.

It's wrong to kill a child.
It's wrong to kill an adult.
[below, not shown] Why is that?
Thanks Momo!

Yeah, I liked it as well. But it's now moving forward.
They have her recorded. That's a huge progress. They can now analyze it. I wonder what will happen with Zen. I suppose he will resist the urge to "accept" suicide somehow. But it will be interesting. I wonder how they gonna explain her "superpower". I hope it will be a good science-fiction like explanation and not some magic.
What do you think Momogari? Some sort of "hypnosis". Or something like "hacking the code of human mind"? Or maybe something else?

I don't know, it still seems supernatural. But I guess hypnosis is the most likely of the known explanations.
I'm more interested in what they'll find with the recording. If they play it again, will Zen hear the same thing again? If so, can the FBI find the hidden message? If not, is Zen crazy?

Another interesting thing was that other people in the room didn't react to it. Am I correct about that? (I don't remember, but I think he didn't wear headphones or anything and they just played it on speakers. Is initial physical contact with her necessary for her "ability" to function properly? I assume she talked to the major in English, right? So it's not the language barrier.

Yeah, no one else reacted to it. I guess even if it was a subliminal message it would have been difficult for Zen to hear it so clearly had he not been affected by her ability somehow that enabled him to.
That is, assuming, he's not actually crazy. I think that's an option in this show too.

This is my prediction.
The US president might ask people, if they want their family members to commit suicide. Even if 1 person in the family wants to commit suicide, there will be e.g. 2 or more family members who don't want that person to commit suicide. So there will be 2 or more against 1. I wonder, if this will be the resolution. Or maybe something else altogether?
What do you think?

From my perspective the question whether or not suicide is ok is irrelevant to the events in this anime. It's more important to understand that things which can appear to be suicide, could not be suicide. And this is a problem. If Magase can manipulate people to commit suicide, allowing suicide is too risky. It's a fascinating philosophical problem.
If one can easily change someone else's mind to make them think whatever the person wants them to think, the humanity would no longer be the same. It would change some very fundamental assumptions the whole human civilisation is built upon. I remember I read a good sci-fi short story at one point about the future in which the technology was so advanced that mind manipulation became easy. So instead of arguing with people and convincing them, it was easier to apply some chemical/nanotechnological etc. substances which caused people to automatically change their beliefs. So instead of arguments, people started to compete in which company produced better mind changing substances. The company with the best ones was the political winner.
I won't spoil anything else about the story, but there was more to it, than just this idea.
I don't remember the title, but I think it was written either by Zajdel or by Lem.

Also, from my personal perspective it's interesting. I support the right to suicide, but not in the world presented in the anime.
But maybe the real world is not as far from that world as one might think.
E.g. how advanced is psychological manipulation in the real world? Can some people be manipulated into suicide? I think the answer is yes, unfortunately. I don't think everyone can, but at least some people can.
How easy is it to convince an old, partially demented person to commit suicide? It's strongly related to the question whether or not euthanasia should be legal.
It's a fascinating problem. I need to read more about it.
I gonna start with these:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Philosophy_of_suicide
https://plato.stanford.edu/entries/suicide/
This is my favourite anime genre. Philosophical anime.
