Oh, I guess that's true.unoduetre wrote:Spoiler:
Oh, the final scene was great. So the communication goes both ways. It's not only that they influence others, but they're also influenced. Their job is dangerous.
My question though:

What the fuck is the company. I mean that's not a mistranslation either, they use kaisha like its a legit company and not the mob. Is it a legit company and the older members are just mobby?
I also wonder if they permanently changed Katsuragi so he's kinda fucked up and smoking unlit cigarettes now. The implication was they definitely did that at least temporarily.
I thought it was interesting how crushing Yokota was an accident. It's more like...he wandered in and crushed himself.

Spoiler:

Yakuza is a semi-legal organisation. They're still a mob, but they have legal structures as well. I think that's what they meant.
The big boss and his direct subordinates usually have clean hands and they are a part of a legal structure. The bottom get their hands dirty, but they're not officially related to the legal organisation.
That's why there is this weird situation with yakuza, that "everyone knows" that a particular company is owned by yakuza, but the police cannot do anything about it, because they're officially clean. I think it's similar with mafia etc.
That's my guess.

Spoiler:

I don't know about this specific term. You might have better luck in finding it than me, because you know Japanese.
Yeah, I don't think it's necessarily yakuza itself, but maybe a mob that works in a similar way.
