Currently re-reading Chobits, just finished volume 2.

I saw mention of Angel Beats, which I never seen, though I enjoyed Air and Kanon which are also based on Key VN which I believe this is somewhat related to. Is it worth a watch?

I would say that it's definitely worth a watch as the style of animation is typical of a series created by Key but the storyline and characters (in particular character development) are completely different to those of Air and Kanon, it's not so romantic as it is sad and (no pun intended) melancholy! It had me crying at one point halfway through the series and that's very rare for me, so I'd say yeah if you can invest some emotional level into a series right now, make sure it's Angel Beats :3
