Favorite Straw Hat Pirates?

I've been reading One Piece and absolutely loving it. I have to ask, who are your favorite Straw Hat pirates?

For me, it's Usop and Tony Tony Chopper. I love Usop because he has a love of storytelling. He isn't as strong as the others but he still manages to show courage (despite his fears) when needed and is incredibly helpful. As for Tony Tony Chopper, I love that way he was initially an outcast but he manages to remain sweet-natured.

It might be surprising to some people, but my favourite is Luffy.

The reason why was more visible in the early episodes.

It's because of his worldview and ethics.

I'll be honest, I am only reading the manga, and I haven't gotten to Franky yet. I understand that he is the American of the group. (Anyone notice they are based on different nationalities? Even Oda confirmed this)

Unoduetre, that's not surprising at all. There is a lot to love about Luffy.

The characters weren't based on nationalities. The nationalities thing was just a throwaway answer that Oda gave to a random question a fan once asked him about which countries the crew would be from if One Piece were based in the real world, which he made up on the spot based on what he thought would fit them best based on their appearances.

That being said, yeah Franky is pretty Murrican all the same.
