Yeah, it is serious. What I wanted to say is that it's less serious in relation to other cyberpunk stuff. E.g. all of the following are more serious: William Gibson books, Ghost in the Shell, Akira, Blade Runner.

I may be inflating it too much too. It is, after all and so far, an action anime. But I do think there is a uniqueness to the plot that significantly raises its value.

Thanks you two!

Yeah, I had a weird feeling while watching this episode. Something wasn't right either with the scenario or the direction or both. Things seemed to be oversimplified and they talked too much. It tried to be dramatic too much, but there was no drama at all.

To be honest, I'm a bit disappointed.

Don't say that. I just watched Ep. 3 and am kind of thinking that I like it when I don't look directly at the stupid MC's face. Now I feel committed. Grrrr....

It's still good, but the last two eps (7 and 8) were worse then the previous ones. They were a bit too naive at certain points.
Of course I can only base my opinion on the information I have at a particular point in time. And I haven't read the manga.

Physics and biology weren't the strongest subjects of the author.
