Cat diabetes seems to be under control
New oral meds seem to be working
Got more testing next Friday to double check

Got my basement windows replaced

Had more leaks in the pipes, got those fixed

Finally got a small raise at work

Gotta start training someone on stuff at work, not pleased

Grandfather turned 100, so went to see him, he's still doing very well

Off to see neil degrasse tyson tonight

Very tired in general

Storms today made the boiler maint man reschedule to next week

But power is back now, so time to get to some dishes and then decorate the tree I finally got

Curse those storms. It was funny it wasn't bad on Sunday but yesterday that winter wind was howling abd cold as hell. It was pushing me around when I went to work and when I left.

I can imagine! The wind was so bad!
Took down so many trees up here and those took out a lot of houses/roads/powerlines
Was a mess

My mum actually lost power for multiple days and came over yesterday just to have access to heat and running water. Not a fun time of year for no power. Too dang cold!

Yeah, we didn't have it that bad, but I've been there when we had a tornado go through. No power and water in the basement yeah the sky turned green kinda cool but won't forget that day. We were lucky just took a huge branch from the tree put bavk and threw it on the otherwise of the side.

I have many tree branches from the neighbors dead tree to drag out back...
Just glad the tree itself didn't come down..

Going to see my mom and sister tomorrow
Should be as awful as my sister makes it
Then to see boyfriends fam on the actual holiday
But they said I can bring Tycho!
So I will at least have corgoloaf snuggles
Tuesday I am getting my covid booster
Should be an okayish time

Oh and I guess christmas will mark my 18th? anniversary on here

Week off of work went well-ish.
Mom was good, Sister was not.
BFs fam was good, being able to bring Tycho was even better!
He was the best boi there!
Which is funny since he is also the only one that hasn't gone through any dog training classes...
I did okay with him and the little bit I could provide on my own
Booster went okay, I did not pass out due to my needle phobia
Which was good, because it was in the middle of a pharmacy soooooo that woulda been awkward
Then played the shit out of a game my best friend gifted me, Bear & Breakfast
Started Balders Gate III, it is fun but it is a lot and makes me feel like I haven't been playing DnD for about 20 years...
Cleaned the house, did the maint on the boiler
Had my Nerd Years Eve party!
About 10 of us over for drinks and games
Played: 5 Min Dungeon, Betrayal at Balders Gate, Jackbox Games, Barenpark, Ticket to Ride Manhatten version
Had fun
Now BF is sick, not covid, and a useless messy potato
While I have returned to work and a new trainee, which is going about as awfully as I thought it would but oh wel

Tomorrow I take one of my cats, Momo, back to the vet for her next blood test
Hopefully it shows the medicine is still working well
If so, we move to only having to check blood every 6 months, to ensure medicine is still working
Instead of the every other week it has been
She's a good old girl and I just want her to be healthy
