My name is Alex and this is my AL journal
I am 46 ( yes very old ) married to my partner Andrew ( who is a gamer )
I live In Edinburgh , Scotland , i also live with my Cat Ninja
I like music mostly, but of late i have been trying to get myself to watch more
Anime like Death Note , High School of the dead , Ghost in the Shell and
just started watching My Hero Academia
I am Genderfluid / Gender Flux
I have a few mental health issues and Chronic illness ( Long Covid)
So i am spending more time at home and more times watching things Online
I like learning new things but i rarely play games unlike my partner
who is a big gamer

I am awake early yet again
Today i have the drop in to go to
I haven't been feeling very well the last
day or so , Long Covid Flare up seem to be
getting them a lot at the moment
It's nearly 8 am ,been awake since 6 am
Not really up too much, I have to wake
Andrew at 9 so we can get red for going to the drop in
Unsure if i will be staying there if my stomach is bad
or that i don't take a coughing fit from Brian, who smokes like a chimney
and starts off my coughing fits
We have asked him several times to not sit next to me as it
sets me off , He isn't very well and i think he forgets, or he does it just to
tries to annoy us ( people with chronic illnesses e.g. breathing issues )
i have an inhaler that i have to take if that happens, but it makes it worse him being
near us, it is Andrew birthday In Feb Going to try and get him a headset
for his pc gaming, i already suggested he could get one for himself, but he will not do it
So i have decided to get him one ,whether he likes it or not, lol

Hi Wednesday.

I'm sorry to hear about your health problems. I know a lot of people are suffering from LC at the moment, but seeing it in one of the forum users really brings it home. I read yesterday that one of the theories is that Covid depresses the immune system so much that other viruses from previous infections are able to make their effects felt. I hope that you are able to make progress sometime soon.

Oh, and don't worry about your age. I have been enjoying anime & manga for many years, and don't expect to end any time soon, and I have quite a few years on you.

I hope you will keep on visiting and posting.

Hey there.

Long Covid is a biiiiiitch, I'm sorry you're going through it. I hope you continue journaling with us. I feel like we have a good chunk of the older community around here on AnimeLeague. Not all of us are teeny boppers. Granted I'm still only 33.

Things aren't so great at the moment with my health and things going on
in my personal life now. I only have her for an hour and 20 mins, So going to the nearest Coffee shop
there maybe cake involved so all will be good with cake

Yeah! Someone nearly my age , kinda glad there are older members ,
Sorry, i haven't been around the last few days,

Today I managed to buy myself some clothes, got myself boots the other day and a few skirts, wore one of them today
it was so short but had it on today my support worker said I looked in my element and confident, something I am not normally
feel tired after now, Andrew has fallen a sleep and so is Ninja, they look so cute together
Kinda glad it now the weekend, just going sit in the house a few days and relax if I can

Had an OK weekend, but in a lot of pain. The last few days I slept a lot more and kinda trying non medication (already have enough meds) pain management. Apart from that, have watched a lot of Netflix. Watched a few stand up shows and start to watch documentary about babies (very cute) unsure if I am going anywhere today due to the weather, see how things go

Contrary to popular belief, being 40 plus is NOT old.

I'm 46 as well (47 in April)

It's just kids who think anyone who's older than about 35 belongs in an OAP Home.

Sorry for being missing in action, been unwell a lot in the last little while.
my Cat Ninja and my partner have been looking after me, I am still struggling with my eating disorder
but i am eating three meals at lest
I have also been diagnosed with a hernia on near my chest on top of everything else
Today i am going to the drop in with my partner
hopefully it isn't as cold as it looks outside
I wish the weather was a lot better and it to be a bit warmer here
