So I've just come off possibly the recruitment tests from hell, I can virtually guarantee I won't get an interview next week, although I don't mind if I'm wrong and I do.

Busy afternoon today, further appointment up at Firs Hill Rise, a couple of things to discuss, such as the rather annoying problem that people don't understand my strong local accent on the phone, therefore I think I need to hark back to nearly 40 years ago and have speech therapy like I did up at Rygate back in the early 80s.

To be honest though, I could do without it, as it'd be weekly appointments somewhere and I'm busy with work and stuff.

We'll see.

Some programming planned this afternoon, I finally figured out how to write a basic character movement script in C# for Unity this week, I'll see if I can get it to work to create a very basic Flappy Bird clone as per a tutorial I saw on YouTube yesterday.

Exam results have just come in from the maths resit last November, a grade 3? WTF?! OK it's better than the 2 I got last time but still..

So I got the results of those recruitment tests from this morning, not a pass, she said my answers were too long and not detailed enough, and she also criticised my spelling and grammar, I humbly apologise but WTF?!

Oh well, at least it frees me up to go to FlyCheese next week and beyond.

And I had a good chat with Steph the Psych about various stuff, which of course is between me and her.

Well I was saying yesterday about Friday the 13th being unlucky, turns out it wasn't, both the deliveries I was expecting arrived, and I managed to get several achievements on Xbox.

Got even more today.

Currently on 1560 points and winning this month's leader board with possibly some more points to come in a bit.

Well it appears as per the tracking that both my Amazon packages have been delivered, unfortunately I won't be around at the Flat till tomorrow morning so I've told them to leave them behind the wheelie bin.

Turns out that Amazon delivery yesterday was posted through the door, there's another one coming by 13.00 tomorrow.

I'm sure the workers at the Depot in Page Hall love me, I pay their wages almost with the amount of stuff I buy on there.

Been to Town this morning, well I couldn't use the TV as both the remotes don't work! So I decided to pop to Town with the new support worker, I don't think the lad gets out much though (to be fair he's only 19) as he didn't know where the Tram stop was, I'll have lived in my area 17 years in August, so I know my way around.

We went in CEX, I looked at anime DVDs, nowt I wanted at a price I was willing to pay, so we went across to Pound Land and I bought a meal deal, cheese and ham sandwich, a bottle of coke and a can of Pringles for 3 quid.

Sat in Castle Square eating lunch, and then shortly after, a Middlewood bound Tram came and we went Home, via Tesco to buy some Lottery tickets.

When we got back, I went on Amazon and bought a universal TV remote for £7.99 that works on a Samsung TV, it's coming by 13.00 tomorrow.

I made a coffee, and a bowl of cereal (well I've got 3 2 pint of bottles of milk that want using, I think they expire on Wednesday, and I'm a bit funny about using out of date milk as towards the end of last November, I made a coffee during a meeting for work, with milk that was 1 day out of date and ended up with bad Diahorrea! I can't help being sensitive.

So that The Batman 2022 costume (with a mask and cape) I ordered on eBay last week is allegedly coming tomorrow, yet I've been bugging the seller all day to actually post it, it's 15.57 now, the PO shuts in just over an hour, and as far as I know it's not been sent.

If it doesn't come by Wednesday I'll be in touch.

The guy sent a message last night, he's been in Amsterdam since last Thursday and hasn't been able to post it! Why advertise delivery today then, Clown?! He says he'll post it first class today.

Mixed day today, been to Town for a sandwich and a coffee in Sarni's on the High St, their sandwiches are nice, and the coffee's not bad... However, I'm sure some people don't listen to me and it's rather annoying, I specifically said "plain cheese sandwich, a bag of crisps and a coffee", she brought me a cheese and Bacon sandwich! I sent it back with a Flea in her ear and said I wanted plain cheese.

Also, I got a call on the mobile from Virgin Money, and then a text, some fraudster company's diddled my card for £35, fortunately the Bank have blocked and refunded the payment, trouble is I now have to wait till probably Friday to get a new card!

Infamy Infamy! Most of the Internet's got it in for me! I can't help not physically able to work full time, or being disabled and mildly Autistic.

I attended 1 online meeting for work last week, and that's it this month as far as I know so next month's payslip will be minute.

Busy week this week with gaming and Karaoke-ing, we finally managed to get the new red Karaoke box to work.

And that HDMI splitter I bought on Amazon last week, turns out it does work! Just needed plugging into another port.

The new Batman suit arrived yesterday morning, I'll post cool pics when I get chance over in the cosplay section.

I'll be wearing that to most of my comic cons this year (up to now, there's 3 coming up, Chesterfield next month, Sheffield in March, and Elsecar in May, finances permitting I might try and get to Leeds in June for the AL one seeing as the venue's round the corner from the Train station)

Right, I'm off.

This has to officially be THE worst day of my life so far! I've been battling SYHA and social services all day! I've had it with SYHA after what 2 weeks tomorrow will be 16.5 years to the day.

Social services won't do anything! I just spoke to this Foreign "duty" social worker who didn't understand my strong local accent, I had to tell him like 6 times that I want a 1 bed Council property, or even better, residential care, this end of Town! I freely admit I have NO patience but this would piss a Saint off.

Well they've just rung 10 minutes ago to say they were outside the Flat waiting to be let in to do the Boiler, Dad's gone down and will wait till they sort it.

Annoyingly that means I won't get to TKD but priorities.

Had a considerably better day today, got some good filming done on my course, turns out we need a blue rather than green screen due to some parts of the Robin costume being green so they obviously don't show up on a green screen background.

Other than that it all worked.

Mixed day today.

Woke up, tried to put hearing aid in and it came apart, tried the spare, that came apart as well, so I emailed Mum (couldn't use the phone due to not being able to hear) to see if Dad could pop down and sort it.

Fortunately, the new support guy managed to fix it for me (good lad!)

He also runs a nice bath, a bit too hot at first but I got used to it.

After a bath and a quick clean of my teeth, I got dressed and we went out, just as we were on our way out, Postie was doing his rounds on my road so I asked if he'd got anything for 242, he gave me 3 letters and a pizza flyer.

I put the letters in my bag to pass on to Mum later, and we walked to the Tram, just missed a Meadowhall bound one so we ended up going to Crystal Peaks on a Halfway bound one, missed the stop at Drakehouse as I was messing with my phone so we got off at Waterthorpe, crossed over and got the Tram back to Drakehouse.

Went to try and get some lunch at McDonald's, contactless failed on my new card (I wouldn't mind but I specifically asked Mum if the new card was contactless and she said if the old one was, this would be, turns out it's not but at the time I didn't know the PIN) so I had to speak to Dad to get the PIN number, he rang me back a few minutes later and told the support guy, he told me and I made a note of it on my work email, which has now been deleted but I still know it and will change it back to what it used to be when I get chance (might pop across to Tesco tomorrow morning)

After successfully buying lunch, we went in Sainsbury's to Argos, and I bought a big button phone for £12 and a bag for 30p, and then a pack of 8 AA batteries for £8.

Surprisingly, getting served in McD's took under half an hour, usually, especially if I have a special order like "No Salad" it takes them 3 times as long to do it.

Their cheese burgers aren't bad either, not that I go in much, it tends to be busy at lunch times with kids and shop workers on their lunch breaks.

After, we walked back to the Crystal Peaks Tram stop, I rang Dad to meet us at Tesco car park and he did.

And we came back here.

I spent most of yesterday gaming, getting achievements on Dark side of the Moon: FMV Interactive Thriller, very involving storyline, at the beginning, the main guy's kids go missing, you can't help but feel for the poor bloke! Eventually you discover what happened to the kids.

Played that most of the day.

TKD was cool last night, my friend Nic won Gold at the English Championships in Kettering, she's quite good at the sparring, she's also pretty hot, and gorgeous.. Shame she's married with 2 kids lol.

I think Mr S will be able to sell me a new black Dobok on Wednesday, I just need to pop to the Bank for the £40 at some point.

I'm also hoping he'll let me go for blue belt in March, he said last night that the grading will be held "late March", I know it was on the 31st the last time I attended and passed a March one, I passed green belt last September.

Not much to do today, except maybe try and get some more achievements on Dark side of the Moon.

And maybe do some Unity projects from the new book.

Mixed day today.

I achieved my main agenda, to pop in CEX and get some cash for a load of games I don't use, £49 in total, would've got more in vouchers but there's nowt else I want so I got the cash.

This was after trying the new debit card in a cash machine at Lloyd's near the Cathedral, tried the PIN twice and it got rejected so I went in Sarni's on the High St, rang Dad to get the PIN for the new card, and then had to go into an Alleyway which was a bit more discreet and he rang me back and told the support guy.

After getting a sandwich, a bag of crisps and a coffee in there, with cash, we walked up to Virgin Money to discuss the card issue (surprised it was open? The Hillsborough one doesn't open at all on a Saturday) I wasn't waiting too long before this very helpful bloke looked at the card and said he'd send a new PIN to Mum and Dad's which would come in the next couple of days (so hopefully by next Tuesday)

Next item on the list, pop in O2 and try and get a new phone upgrade by trading in my current one, she asked me for the details of my main card which pays my phone bill, which I can never remember without looking, and Dad controls that so I'll have to ask him.

I can pop to Town again tomorrow to sort that, she said she'd be working again so I can talk to the same person.

Very nice young Indian lady.

Then we went for a Tram, typical! I would have an agenda to do Business in Town on a Saturday when bloody Wednesday are at Home! Hillsborough bound Tram from the Cathedral full of rowdy Wednesday fans, ended up missing getting off at Tesco as I couldn't get past all the people, had to get off at Primrose Hill and phone Dad! As this was around 13.40 and the shift would've finished less than an hour later so it was pointless going back to the Flat.

Just because I stopped following football as far back as the mid to late 80s so I never know when the matches are and thus to avoid Hillsborough bound Trams after 13.30 on a Saturday when Wednesday are at Home.

I also tried to contact Laura to inform her I'd sent Jamal Home early, her phone's been out of reach all week.

I know she only works part time due to the little guy but come on!

So before bed time, I need to have a conversation with Dad about borrowing the account number/sort code for the main card for ID purposes for my O2 account, I can virtually guarantee he'll object and there'll be a massive argument and we'll all go to bed in a mood!

I wouldn't mind but it's not totally my fault he's got a cob on about my spending habits.

I'm off to do that, if I don't post tomorrow, you'll know Dad's killed me!

So I survived the argument about the card details last night!

I'll wait till later in the year (possibly around October) when there's less to pay off, and then try for a phone upgrade, although Mum says if/when I get a Cochlear implant, they might suggest a specific phone that works with it, trouble is, I know from past research that hearing aid specific tech from the likes of the RNID's almost always 3 times the price of normal tech because of its specialist nature.

Anyway, after breakfast, tablets and a coffee, we set off for Town, as despite Dad's objection, I wanted to try and get a new phone! Couldn't do it in the end as I can't remember the secret word that unlocks my account, which is usually Mum's maiden name but in this case it's not, in actual fact I've just remembered what I think it is.

After going in O2, we walked down to Starbucks and I bought a coffee (new support lad doesn't drink tea or coffee) £3.49 for a coffee? Cavells or Sarni's would've been cheaper!

Then we got on a Middlewood bound Tram and went shopping in Infirmary Road Tesco, bought 2 bottles of milk and a few other bits and then walked back to the Flat.

Had some lunch, put the shopping away, and watched some TV.

Dad arrived around 14.20 and we came back here.

TKD tonight.

And then possibly some programming tomorrow.

Just got back from TKD half an hour ago, pretty good session again, must've worked hard as the hour went REALLY quick.

Busy morning.

Got a ton of achievements on 2 different Xbox games, been sending and receiving work related emails, and I've just spoken to a contact, she says she'll be in touch this week with a new consent form.

Although given that most of the contacts at work have the communication skills of a Duck and don't do emails, I don't hold much hope...

Had this year's disability health check up at the Doctor's earlier, and contrary to what my Fitbit watch said last week, I haven't put 6 lb on which is good! I'm still only 13 stone 5 lbs.

Been spending some money on Amazon this morning, I've preordered the new Hogwarts Legacy on Xbox, comes on Friday, and I've also bought an inflatable Eagle costume for cosplay (although I can virtually guarantee I'll have to send it back, I actually bought one a couple of years ago and it didn't fit me! Although to be fair I've lost weight since then)

We've also been to Virgin Bank and they confirmed the new ready cash card IS contactless, it's just currently blocked till I get a new PIN some time this week.

Which is annoying because I need a few bits, and I have NO cash till I get paid from work on either the 23rd or 24th of this month, and I would've had to take the card to Chesterfield comic con on the 19th.

With luck it'll all be sorted by then.

In other news, I got an email from eBay yesterday that the big long Batman 2022 cape I ordered last month, is being delivered, from China, between Tuesday and Thursday next week (preferably before Thursday)

Although I'm sure I'll get discombobulated when Dad sees the 50 quid price tag!

Right, I'm off to do some Unity, at least attempt it, I found a tutorial project on Udemy last week that actually works!

And finally, I've finally managed to arrange through a contact at the CQC to attend 2 meetings in official capacity next month for which I'll possibly get paid for doing 4 hours "work", show me the April payslip!

When I spoke to Sam Mignano last week, she said I'd get paid this month for the work I did for her last month!

Busy day today.

I had to send a ton of work related emails and calls, none of which have responded to, why do people possess mobile phones and email accounts when they never use either?!

Annoying and needs to be addressed IMO.

Oh well, at least I managed to get a ton of achievements on Xbox.

And they've rung from social services, that place up at Heeley will be ready to view in 6 weeks, so that's around mid to late March hopefully, although I'm still a bit wary about living up there if I get offered it, meh, I'll go and have a no obligation look.

Hearing aid problems today as well, damn thing came apart like 5 times in the space of 10 minutes, I didn't even touch it! Mum rang up the other week, but we can't get in up at the Hospital till a fortnight on Friday!

Also, the Fisherman's Friends show at the Lyceum, which I thought was Saturday afternoon, was actually booked for tomorrow afternoon at 14.00, however, due to a problem with the Tram we're unable to get to Town till Friday, so I rang up and asked if it was possible to change the tickets to the Saturday afternoon show, and they did it no problem, well apart from the show starts at 15.00 and doesn't finish till 17.15, and Laura's pedantic about working 1 second beyond 18.00 at weekends! I sympathise and I was willing to go tomorrow, but it's not my fault the flippin' overhead Tram lines are faulty!

I've also had to ring Home to get Dad to bring the spare hearing aid, we did manage to fix it but I did tell him it'd probably come apart again shortly, fortunately it hasn't (yet)

Bring on the Cochlear op! It'll be 39 years in August since I started with hearing aids in general!

But back in 1984 I don't think the implants had been invented yet.

Currently watching Akira (original Japanese version, in English) on Netflix.

Gonna do some Unity after tea, I tried last night but the app wouldn't load.

That inflatable Eagle costume arrived this morning, and predictably I can't even get in it so it's going back! I wouldn't mind but I've lost weight since I last bought one.
