Phases 2, 3, 4 & 5 are also now complete, but you will have to wait for photos.

I still think it's too early yet to put Christmas trees up, but it's up to you :D

I keep it as a rule that you put the tree up in December (don't give a toss when abouts as long as it's before Christmas Day) but a friend of mine showed me a pic of his decorated mini tree and it makes me feel so festive now

When both of us were working, it was a long hard slog through November and December, only to get a few brief days together (often only 1 day, as I often had to work on Boxing day) so getting the place ready had to be done a bit each evening. We would start as soon as Halloween, Bonfire night and my wife's birthday were out of the way, and aim to get everything finished by the start of December, so that we could enjoy Xmas light switch-ons, and markets, and things like that on our days off, knowing that the house would be all festive when we returned.

Well, I'm off to York tomorrow to be dragged around the Castle Museum on Sunday, and the Christmas Market on Monday. If you see me, come say hello (not that anybody knows what I look like)

Well, with a few days left, that's all the presents bought, wrapped and ready for distribution.

...and today we finished buying the food.

All presents have been distributed which means we can now relax and enjoy the last few days before it's time to start running around like headless chickens again.

Off to Lincoln tomorrow to visit the Christmas Market in the Castle.

It'll be busy, we went a few years ago due to having family over there, literally had to shuffle round on the floor.
