Waiting for my T-shirt to come. I hope they have my size...

...and my wife has just told me she has booked a surprise short break for us starting next weekend, for my birthday, so I will be AFK for a few days.

So yesterday, in a quiet moment, #2 son was sorting out his Magic: The Gathering decks.

"I want to make my deck as strong as possible, so I've got to get rid of some weaker cards. Which of these 2 should I get rid of?"

I've taken the plunge and ordered myself a "feder" for Sword training.

Before anybody asks, this is a blunted sword-like item, over a metre long, used to practice techniques and for sparring.

I was wondering when my "sword" will arrive, so I contacted the seller. Out of stock until Christmas. What about the other item I ordered at the same time? Still waiting for restock from our German supplier, and that could be Christmas as well.

...and they say Brexit has not had a negative effect on the economy.

Lots of fireworks tonight, so Lily is asleep at the bottom of our bed.

I have had an exhausting couple of days.

Thursday I had my Covid shot, and it gave me a short and brutal shot of flu to go along with it.

Friday, as I wrestled with my reaction to the shot, my father-in-law was taken to hospital so there was a lot of running around sorting out visiting time and then somewhere for my Mother-in-law to stay.

Saturday, just as the situation with FiL is getting sorted, #1 son phones to say he has been taken ill away from home and can we come and pick him, his partner and his car up. and he is an hour and a half away.

So now, I am relaxing with a large drink.
