Just seen this on FaceBook.

An Airbus 380 is on its way across the Atlantic. It flies consistently at 800 km/h at 30,000 feet, when suddenly a Eurofighter with a Tempo Mach 2 appears.
The pilot of the fighter jet slows down, flies alongside the Airbus and greets the pilot of the passenger plane by radio: "Airbus, boring flight isn’t it? Now have a look here!"
He rolls his jet on its back, accelerates, breaks through the sound barrier, rises rapidly to a dizzying height, and then swoops down almost to sea level in a breathtaking dive. He loops back next to the Airbus and asks: "Well, how was that?"
The Airbus pilot answers: "Very impressive, but watch this!"
The jet pilot watches the Airbus, but nothing happens. It continues to fly straight, at the same speed. After 15 minutes, the Airbus pilot radios, "Well, how was that?
Confused, the jet pilot asks, "What did you do?"
The AirBus pilot laughs and says: "I got up, stretched my legs, walked to the back of the aircraft to use the washroom, then got a cup of coffee and a chocolate fudge pastry."
The moral of the story is: When you’re young, speed and adrenaline seems to be great. But as you get older and wiser, you learn that comfort and peace are more important.
This is called S.O.S.: Slower, Older and Smarter.

Made me chuckle.

Finally, things are starting to return to normal after my Op at the end of March. Restarted sword training this week, and TKD is ramping back up closer to the levels it was before I went under the knife. I have restarted the core training exercises that we do for TKD, as I have not been doing the sit-ups, push-ups etc that I used to do. Thankfully, I don't seem to have lost too much as I reached 2 minutes when planking on Friday. I wonder what my physio will think about that when I see later this month?

You're lucky, I can't do push or situps at all due to disability.

Just as things are sorting themselves out, I get hit by a dose of flu. Stuffed up at the top end, and wide open at the bottom end. Sore nose and sore a**s.

Feeling much better now, just got no energy at all.

With my Wedding Anniversary just around the corner, we are of to Oxford for the weekend. Since the Missus is a big fan of Morse and Lewis, I expect we will be wandering around looking for places shown in the series.

Yeah we've got 2 anniversaries coming up next month, my Brother's 17th on the 16th, and Mum and Dad's 51st on the 23rd.

How long is it for you guys if you don't mind me asking?

28 glorious years this year. Had our Silver during the Pandemic, and were really worried that the break we had booked wasn't going to come off, but ended up with a fantastic upgrade 'cos the hotel was empty.

I wouldn't mind that myself, particularly trying Japanese food, too far to Retford though.
