After writing this post ti's probably sufficiently cooled, so I will now taste it.

Hm. It's good. It is better with the nutmeg.
I actually think the sweet potatoes were too soft. The cooking just made them softer of course and I think it ended up being too soft. I wanted some more crunch to it. I think this is something you really should start out with raw pumpkin for and cut it yourself. And then maybe bake it...well no, not more, because you don't want the nuts to be burnt. Maybe it just needs to be hotter. Like 450. Hmm. Maybe more surface, like a cookie sheet. The salt is good in it. I should probably mix it more evenly. Like mix with the honey beforehand. And get rock salt.
Oh you know what be a good addition? Butter. Maybe just a little.
Pecans might be better than walnuts. Maybe.

This is so lazy Momo. I'm disappointed.
Y'know, I don't even know if pumpkins are available to buy here... ;>_>
I only ever see them at Halloween and I don't think they're edible, what with all the chemicals they so clearly use on um (last time I carved a pumpkin it gave me a rash that burned, my hands were on fire) fun times.

Best food I ate today was my mum's stew, it's so good. Although it could have tasted like shit for all I can tell right now heh. I've been starving for days. Doesn't matter if it's food I like or food I don't like, I taste nothing. And the worst part of it is that I've really been struggling to eat anything because without taste, most food just feels so horribly gross in my mouth. ^^;;
The only thing that doesn't make me want to throw up is bread. So I've mostly been surviving on 3 pieces of bread every day since Wednesday I think.

I swear, when I get my sense of taste back the first thing I'm going to do is buy a chocolate trifle and put my face in it.
That is my dream. u_u

So I'm gonna be lazy and not post about the super delicious food I ate today.

I have themed the journal

It is cooking still.
But also Hakumei & Mikochi

I probably won't use them much.

Today I made something simple that I often make.
I have metal pie tins. I fill one side with refried black beans and cheese on top, and the other with spanish rice, cover it with another tin, and put it in the oven to heat it all and melt the cheese. I cut some lettuce, and have that with it with sour cream and salsa and chips.
It sounds lazy but with the right ingredients it's very tasty.

hakumei and mikochi is super cute, i have volume one around here somewhere i need to continue reading

also i've had some iced coffee which is pretty routine since we have an iced coffee maker but it's still really lovely to have :>

Today I went to a work lunch and had shrimp and scallops rice in cream sauce. It was very good.

Let's see how productive I can be this weekend.
