Geez I'm on an amazon binge.
16 months ago I was still in the buy-nothing-eat-rice-make-do lifestyle. I still kinda operate that way in a lot of ways--I'm trying to shake out of it by just buying things I need, or replacing broken things that I've just been using without thinking. Like a chef knife with a broken handle that I've just used for years. Finally ordered a new knife yesterday, and didn't think to until now that this new roommate is coming in and rearranging the kitchen. She put all my knives away neatly except for that one. She probably assumed it was trash. Based on it being held together by twine, that's a reasonable assumption for someone not used to struggling.
Oh that reminds me, I need a new cutting board. *immediately looks on amazon* No, I think I saw my new roommate had one. I'll just ask if I can throw mine out now.
But shit like that is exactly how I've spent $415 on amazon in the last 7 days.
Anyway, today I need to clean out the freezer to make room for her stuff.
And then I will go to my mother's and make some small shelves for tea+spices. I dumped all of my tea and spices into a cardboard box to make room for her. The kitchen really needs more storage space. Hence the shelves and the cabinets coming in january.
