Hi!

I wish you luck on your new way of life!

The waiting period is important and it's a good thing. It protects people who are not transgender (do not have gender dysphoria or are not sure about it), but are for example gender nonconformist. It protects them from making decisions which are difficult to reverse later.

During the period you'll have some time to discover things about yourself and see, if the transition is what will make you a happier person, or not.

It's good to remember that there are many different possibilities available. Some of them are:
- having full transition with surgeries
- having partial transition with HRT only
- having no HRT and simply living as a gender non-conformist person or discover yourself what gender means to you
- going back to your old gender

It's also good to know that your biological sex cannot be changed and will stay the same, but it does not define your gender, your psychology, personality and it doesn't force you to make any decisions. You can change the way you look and the way you feel about yourself and make yourself more happy!

Good luck!

I'm feeling okay today thanks, I was due to be at hospital two days ago, but due to some mix up at the hospital they had to postpone my appointment for a week, oof

I have IBD and with the appointment being delayed a week the medication isn't as affective in my system now, so I have to be careful not to be under any stress before the next appointment cause a flair up could cause problems >.<

But, apart from that, I'm pretty okay, just trying to stay positive :)
