I HAVE FIXED THE SINK!
One of the things I have tried to do since buying my home (oh lordy, its almost been 7 years) is to try and fix what I can, when I can. Even if it means learning to do something for the first time. I have always been mechanically inclined, so sometimes it's as easy as reading up and just doing it.
I have learned that my nemesis is plumbing. I always forget something and end up with a ton of water or more issues and it's just something I clearly am not suited for. Last time I had an issue, I called a guy in to do it for me.
But recently when the p trap went in the bathroom sink, I thought about it and I looked at it and I was like "No. We can do this ourselves this time!". So I went out and got the part ordered and it arrived today. My first attempt was not the best, I lacked the arm strength for one of the slip fits. Luckily, bf did that part for me. From there, I then had a bit of a leak in one joint. Got a different washer on there and BAM! Sink fixed and no leaks! HAHA
Felt good.
Still think of plumbing as my nemesis though.

I definitely find myself trying to learn as much as I can. Just makes is easier in the long run.
However, I have just not even bothered and called people in when special or expensive tools that i dont own are needed.
I also admit that when a full faucet needed replacing, I knew it was possible to try myself but just had someone else do it
I didn't have the best tools for it and I would have had to do it alone back then which meant it woulda taken me hours, if I weas lucky
So just worked a bit of OT and called a plumber for it. He was done so fast and easy and it was def worth the few extra hours of work
Tycho and I's birthdays are fast approaching
Still feels kinda crazy to be turning 34
Me and one of my oldest friends are a year and a day apart, age wise, so we always share birthdays
This year we are all going to see the DND movie (since we all play and think itll be amusing to see what hollywood thinks a dnd movie should be) and then heading to a brewery next door after
Should be fun
Tycho is gonna be 6!
Got his a dog biscuit thingy, gonna frost it
Last year I made him a dog cake but it was a bit too much for him
He was so stuffed

I remember when I was 34 (nearly 13 years ago) we went for a meal somewhere.
I've booked a meal at Vito's in Walkley for this year.

Would not be surprised if they try to move some of us to the better functioning Houston site
I am not sure if I would want that...
Not a fan of CT but pretty sure I do not want to live in TX either
We shall see how it goes over the next few months
