Helped with fireworks again this year. We barely got shelters up when it started to rain - and rain hard. I got thoroughly drenched repeatedly as different storms moved through. A few of the firework cakes got soaked and wouldn't fire, very disappointing. Need to plan for weather better for the next show.

Ex's D&D Game Rules

1. D&D is a game.
2. This game is about how characters react to various situations - it is not about wish-fulfillment (although that's part of it), but rather the struggle. Since it may include combat, traps, and other hazardous situations, injury and death is a part of it.
3. D&D is also about how those characters interact with each other and the setting, which can include NPCs and monsters.
4. The DM's role is to help the players tell the story of their characters - it is not to bump them off and dance on their imaginary graves. However, death and injury is part of the game. See Rule 2.
5. The DM is both narrator and final arbiter.
6. Players are encouraged to be polite and understanding. See Rule 1.
7. This game uses tables and dice to help determine outcomes. Sometimes the dice results are not in your favor. See Rule 2.
8. Re-rolls are at the discretion of the DM. See Rule 5.
9. For any game the DM is running, approved character sheets are a must.
10. The player is responsible for maintaining their character sheet, keeping track of consumables and replacing lost or damanged gear before the start of each session. Encombrance rules will be enforced.
11. Healing potions restore hit points, not limbs. You must still bandage and seek treatment for wounds and injuries.
