My husband works in Baltimore and we currently only have one car (hopefully that changes tomorrow) so when our work schedules overlap I have to take him to work and then go and pick him up afterwards. Which means driving back and forth a lot to Baltimore lol And it sucks because he works in like... the ghetto.

lol Sorry Ive been gone for a few days guys!

Its been a really busy week getting used to all of the new policies for work and trying to figure out babysitting and transportation. We-

FINALLY

got a second car. My husband got to buy a car that he has wanted for a very long time. Its not new by any means, but its the kind of car that he has always wanted. A Subaru! It does have leather seats though so I have been bothering him about putting on seat covers. Its a back car with black leather.. ouch. lol Im waiting for the first time his car literally causes a burn. Now I need to get him a few car accessories such as a car trash can because he has an obsession with mountain dew, which means trash everywhere inside his newly detailed car.

The Prius that we bought is now considered my car, because he is in love with the Subaru. Which is fine lol I will drive what ever. Plus it gets really good mileage, it just needs a decent sound system.

I got a new skin care system. This is one that I use for intense repair. Like its been over a year sense Ive had to wear makeup every day, so I had to invest in some new make up and a decent skin care routine. Its working out really well.

So! Part of our new policies regarding COVID and health etc is that the company has provided us with Bluetooth thermometers called "Kinsa". Get this shit.-
MY DUMB ASS

Took my temp with this thing literally right after drinking some hot tea. I literally screwed myself out of work for 72 hours because the app they used thought I had a mild fever. The policy states that you have to be fever free for 72 hours before you can return to work. So today will be like my actual 2nd day back at work. Its purely my fault, but that didnt stop me from being pissed off about it. Like what happens if the thing malfunctions? We just end up with ZERO employees and have to cancel full shows? Like wtf. *sigh* oh well. I was able to use sick days for that so its fine I guess. But now I have to do like crash training on our new cash machine, and kinda figure shit out more on the fly than I normally would. Which I dislike because there are a bunch of new policies and Im in line for promotion so I very much dislike not knowing wtf is going on.

We will see how it goes tonight though.

That's actually probably too much reliance on a machine that could be broken or stop functioning for some reason.

They should probably have something that states if you do have a fever a secondary device is used to validate the results.

That sucks being out of work though. Did they pay for it, take away vacation, or just put you out of work?

Yeah I brought that up as well because the policy isnt very clear. So they do take your temp at the door, and our general manager said not to take your temp until like an hour before your shift. The problem with THAT is that if we wait that long our manager doesnt have time to find coverage. Not that there is any, because our department has 4 employees total (including my manager)

Yes lol they should. I also found out some stuff that I was apparently not supposed to know (this happens all the time with me because people forget that Im not a manager) Apparently my department is supposed to merge with another department. yay. This is something I would have liked to know before I went back. The whole point is for me to get promoted, I cant do that if there are no spot. The merging of our departments would make it so that the one department has 3 managers and 2 leads. like WTF.

I also came home from work last night with a killer migraine and tried to die. I had to hurry and go right to bed, and even then It didnt want to go away. I thought for sure I was going to have to go to the hospital but then I was finally able to sleep. I did not wash my face though so now I feel all gross.

One. But I guess the company wants our department to merge with the retail department now which is stupid. That would mean that I now have to train a bunch of people on how to do the financial side of things. People who have to focus on other shit and who wont remember simple shit. All without being a lead aka supervisor. So if that happens im going to push for the promotion because we will need more than one person to train all of these people. My manager can only be in one place at a time. If he is helping other people I need to be able to help the people I am with. Everyone in my department defers to me when he isnt around because he and I think the same way. So im kind of pissed about it. But i hear about everything that happened specifically because everyone forgets that im not a part of management. *Sigh* oh well..

And yes, I have had migraines like this before. That have lasted several days. Thats why they have now been prescribing narcotics for me to take home so that I dont have to come into the hospital all the time. I cant take regular anti-inflammatory medications like ibuprofen because im allergic to them. So when I go to the hospital they have to give me some pretty heavy duty pain meds via an IV. If this one doesnt lighten up soon Ill have to go to the hospital tonight. Which is alright I dont work again until Thursday.
