My anxiety has been through the roof lately, been feeling like I am walking on egg shells with some people which making one move and I'm getting shouted and screamed at. So that's my confidence knocked
In other news I have had an idea to create a IT portfolio for all the stuff I have been studying and any extra courses or projects I been taking on. I want to start thinking about showcasing my own work to employers and show what I can do and what I have been learning. I would like to include my graphic design work, my coding practise, any essays I have wrote. For now I want to keep them in a personal journal but can anyone point to the right direction of what sort of medium would be ideal? Blog? Website? Any online portfolio specific sites?

Dare I say linked-In?
Not actually used that site for about 9 years. I keep getting the odd Email from them, I'm not sure what their "window" is actually like?
Would you want your coding on public display?
I know github is pretty much the place to put them, I've seen arduino files for the proton packs on there and hey add txt. docs word docs pdf's on there...
I'm kind of wrong trade for this lol
Once you’ve met someone, you never really forget them. it just takes a while for your memories to return

There are actually people I went to uni with that use LinkedIn that's probably the only time I use it, I don't really post anything tbh.
I would like to eventually make my work public and open to any feedback but not right away. I just want to work on developing skills, logging my progress as I go then eventually publish it to wherever I so please. GitHub seems like a good shout, I just had a look at the site for this online course lab activity and looks pretty neat. As part of the lab activity I also had a look at other portfolio examples that look so cool, it looked like they were all websites that showed what they specialize in, their CV any projects they've done etc.

A website is always good to showcase your variety of IT knowledge. I was in the middle of making one before I kinda went down the AL route and loved running events. With the website you can separate from graphics and coding and such and also say what projects you've worked or are working out
EDIT: Also to add you don't have to build the website from scratch, I mean Employers might be more impressed, but sometimes it is just a specific information or tick boxing they are looking for so no point over working yourself when it is just the information they want.

I've done websites, I suck at graphics but I can write HTML.
I've tried to sign up for graphic design courses, but because I'm late 40s, they keep telling me I'm too old at Sheffield College! I wouldn't mind but ageism is allegedly illegal under the Equality Act.
I don't beee-lieve it!

Have you tried OpenUniversity?

I will say this rn because I'm in the Open University Neurodivergent discord that I've people's experience with trying to get support has been quite naff- they would get it eventually but to begin with folk just get told to just quit the course! Im assuming this is in reference to the DSA (disability student association) but the university wouldn't even allow the server to be its own official club which is shit.
That aside, Open University will definitely solve the entry requirements issue. I know there's IT with design which might work but it's probably worth checking out a full list

I might have a look.
Main thing that puts me off is that the OU is quite expensive, and unfortunately I'm only rich by name.

Fair but it's still cheaper than if you was to go to any other university (for obvious reasons ofc) and don't forget you don't need to pay upfront. That being said there has been news going round that even the OU might be losing some of its online study reputation :/ will edit once I found the news link for it

I'm so confused, I think I have COVID because the rest of the house has it, I suddenly feel warm and just been continuously coughing but I can still taste (trust garlic bread to be the trusty taste indicator)
It was like this a few hours before I had dinner so I thought the loss of smell/taste would take into effect but nothing- all normal. I will say though, I have the urge to down several pints of water in quick succession

You should do what I did and order a lateral flow test kit, I did the test yesterday and it turned out negative though, I just have a bad cold.

I don't think the loss of taste happens to everyone. I had it and it didn't

Sadly, there are no more in the house because since the whole house has it (I'm the last one to get it) they used up all the tests. My mum is planning on getting more tomorrow because she claims to be coming out of it and may feel well enough to get some
