Hi all, never been to a Con of any kind before but am considering going to the Birmingham one next weekend. I have zero friends who are interested in Anime, would it be worth going alone anyway?

Absolutely!

In a group is great, but that isn't always possible. Even if you are on your own, you can have a great time. Watch the musical guests. Browse the stalls. Admire the Cosplayers. If you see someone who as come from one of your favourite games or shows, go and say hello.

If you are on the discord server, go to "role-reacts" and click on the "Birmingham" button. This will allow to post in the channel dedicated to those people attending that Con. Maybe you can arrange a meet up, and go around with some new friends.

Welcome to Anime League!
Yes definitely, I wouldn't let being alone stop me from going.
I went to the Norwich convention on my own several years ago and had a nice day.
I also made friends here on the forum before attending other events too which was great, ended up meeting them all there! Hopefully you can do the same! We are a friendly community so hopefully you will take a look at the whole forum and the discord group.
