I normally do singing, like a Meat Loaf song or summat, however I never win.
Do you guys reckon I should change my act a bit? Maybe do something different? I know I can't dance lol, some people would tell you I can't sing either, but I disagree.

Yeah I agree, anything you feel comfortable doing really!
Could always try other songs? Or have a buddy join you for a duet ^^
As long as you have fun then winning doesn't really matter in the end I guess

Well the main support guy's not the world's worst singer, I might see if he could come in with me on a duet

I doubt whether he would though, he might be a bit wary of singing in public.

Standup would be something different!
But more seriously, do what you feel you're best at.

As I usually help judge the talent show I also say if you are going to sing go for a simple song, don't try to go for something you can't reach as I see a lot of people try and sing hard songs.
Something unique is also good because we get a lot of singers, so anything different will keep you in the mind of the judges and audiences

When we came to Sheffield last year, there were several youngish women wearing Japanese schoolgirl outfits doing dancing, oh yeah they were brilliant and deserved to win.

I winged it, I had no idea what I was going to do whilst waiting in the back ground or whilst I walked on stage.
Probably explained the glares from the judges!! They did not look amused lol.
I didn't even place, I lost out to 2 kids, one in a Patrick starfish set up!!
The young lady that won, I did think deserved it though.
I'll be in the same set up as I got massive positive feed back, I've had a new PKE meter which is fully functional (I wont be throwing that off stage because I can't get in back on the belt!!!!!).
All I can say is, you do you, I did me. I failed, I was scared to a degree, but I enjoyed it!

Once you’ve met someone, you never really forget them. it just takes a while for your memories to return

That's great you went up and gave it a go! Glad you enjoyed it despite being nervous. As long as you had fun that's all that matters really

Yeah getting up on stage in front of a live audience is one of the scariest things anyone ever does.
Big trick though, that a lot of people tell you, is to imagine the audience naked, although in some cases that'd make you even more scared lol.
