AL Points Rank Bars Purchasing Topic (And Reclaiming Spent AP)

Right, ok. Well I would like a refund for my old rank bar then.
Back when the forum was updated in 2011 we had to reclaim our AL Points and buy our ranks again (I was no longer a Hmod, so I did have to buy my rank back).

I don’t remember how much custom rank bars were 10+ years ago. That’s not exactly information I thought I’d need later on down the line.

Am I able to get refunded for giving points out to other members? I used to do this all the time in CS to encourage posting after one of my threads would reach 40 pages.

The first post breaks down how I calculated how much to give with a table and who was given what amount. These were all gifted to other members from my personal stash.
In this particular case I shelled out a total of 8830.
I can’t find other tables as specific as this one, but I did do this on more than one occasion. I believe the other tables & calculations may have been posted in the Outskirts way back when, which doesn’t seem to exist in the archives anymore. That first post does state that I’ve done this multiple times though.

Generally speaking the HMod rank bar you were awarded was for free and at no points cost. We do acknowledge your contribution in the past which includes donating points to members as well as your staff duties, hence giving you 30,000 points and that's already been granted.

If you're really encouraged to get your rank bar back and points why not look at more ways to get involved again?

My rank bar was never an Hmod rank bar. It was a bar I made for my own personal use many years before I ever became an Hmod. I never had an Hmod rank bar made, nor was mine ever listed as one. It wasn’t free. I paid for it. If I can’t be reimbursed for giving points out then it is what it is, but I do want to clear that up. Since it isn’t an Hmod rank bar, could it at least be removed from the front page please? I don’t see why someone else should use a bar I made for myself when I can’t even use it.

I'll give you an extra 20,000 to get it up to 50,000 to fully compensate.

How Old Rank Bars are Reimbursed

If you had a rank bar on the old forums that you paid for, then please post in this topic with a link to your profile from the archive forums at https://archive.animeleague.net we will then re-emburse you what you originally paid.

The ranks will be re-embursed as follows -

Any coloured ranks - 5,000 AP
If you were a hmod or admin and got your rank for free - 30,000 AP but we can increase this if you gave away more AP for free
Custom Ranks - We will reemburse you 50,000 AP so you can regain it here at no loss
Any other rank - at original value from a minimum of 5,000 AP

In that case, if possible I'd like to purchase my custom rank bar again. I mean, I made it myself, but personally I don't care if others want to purchase it.

After all it's importance makes me easily recognizable by others. If others purchased it, that may well change.

Can I please get the VIP status with my old custom rank bar back?

Could I also please get it removed from the first post so other people can’t purchase it? I don’t see the point of it being custom made if others can get it too.
