War of the Demon Lords (DnD) (OOC)

Post by Tanya » 14 Mar 2020, 17:24

A few basics for now. This is high Fantasy and in a DnD world, not any of the Franchise worlds though. I'll start after we have at least 4 players. I'd like have 6 to 8 players though.

Synopsis
The world has been divided among a few powerful Beings. Although not all of them are Demon Lords, only one is actually a demon, they are called Demon Lords because each is insanely powerful, beyond what others are capable of doing. Further the atmosphere is dark and ominous in all nations. All of them are at war with each other, there are no common Alliances. All the Demon Lords rule their domains with fear, except two of them. One of these two is sort of neutral from the others and feared by the other Demon Lords the most, but this Demon Lord is simply name one since it is consider the most powerful among them and is immortal. The other has isolated herself and those who follow her on an island utilizing powerful magic, they wish to live in peace. The other Demon Lords are ignoring this island for now because it represents little to gain for the amount of resources required to obtain it. The island will have its desired peace as long as the other Demon Lords have each other to contend with.

Players will all be the members of one of these Demon Lords Elite Forces. As an Elite Force you will be assisting the Demon Lord in conquest missions over other Demon Lords and keeping order among their people. The Demon Lord the players will be serving is Neutral Good. Missions against corruption, invaders, and conquest will occur. So all players will be working together and under the same Demon Lord. It's possible for you to be split up into separate groups. Your group will have a Captain and a Lieutenant that's in charge, which will both be NPCs for now. Later on through gameplay, the players may decide they want one of their members to take up these two roles. While there will be other members of your Elite Forces, none of them will be working with the players.

Game Rules:

3.5 rules will be used and only the core books as these are free to use with various online resources.

Characters will start as 6th level characters.

They can be of any class and any race as long as their ECL + HD is only +5 and they aren't Always Evil. However, all races besides the standards listed in the Player's handbook needs to be approved by me the DM.

Die rolls will all be completed by the DM.

Ability Scores will not be rolled. Instead you will have the following set to assign as you wish 18, 18, 16, 16, 12, 12. This way all characters are equal and heroic. Most NPCs unless their bosses will have standard Ability Scores or average.

All characters and monsters will always have Max HP.

Skills: To simplify things once a class skill, always a class skill. Cross class skills will be prohibited.

Multi-classing: Will have no penalties.

Experience points and cost: All experience points cost will simply be ignored, nor will expedience points be used.

Spells: Spells like Wish and Miracle will not be able to obtain results that aren't predefined as possibilities within them. Further as far as required materials go, if they are worth less than 50 GP it will be assumed to have it.

Prestige classes: If you want to use one that isn't in the core book, please contact DM and discuss it as I may allow them. Otherwise all prestige classes are allowed. Those that are Evil only will simply be no Good.

Items: If items have a value less than 50 GP you need not list them, it'll be assumed you have them unless they are masterwork or magical items, in which case they must be listed. Only items listed in the Player's Hand Book and the DMG will be allowed. You'll have the standard starting equipment of Gold for a 5th level ( xxxxx GP). 1 item can be worth up to 50% of it, while the rest can be worth no more than 20%. If you have magical creation feats, it's still 50% and 20% of the market price, but you could have more stuff since your making it.

As long as the half is one of the five good dragons, sure. Your staring HP will be low, even though your a Barbarian.
