Adam finished the last of his plate of vegetables and looked up to hear the Guildmaster finally announce it was time for the tests. Finally excited to show off his skills, he followed the others to listen in on the first test. Two goblins were to be summoned and defeating one meant you were already skilled enough to be D rank, defeating them both allowed you to take the next test and would be base on your abilities. Adam knew this test would be a breeze, as he helped his master defeat plenty of goblin tribes nearby their home. Adam watched the first person to step up, the odd lady he sat with before the training. At first, she didn't seem that impressive, taking a few hits to her side as the goblins tried to flank her and attack her blind spots. She than showed her skills when she managed to gut the first goblin and shortly after ripped out the second ones heart. This surprised Adam considering how the first half of the fight went and made a mental note to keep an eye on her. He then stepped up after her.

Adam's stood ready and when the goblins were summoned and the go ahead given, he immediately cast a physical protection layer around himself, a white glow surrounding his body showing faintly before fading away. In terms of close quarter fighting, he could easily defend himself against goblins, but also wanted to show his ability to avoid attacks as a mage. He let the goblins charge at him from both sides and deflected their blows with his armored bracers. He continued with deflecting blows for a few seconds before finally opening his hands, and quickly muttered a chant that summoned two arcane shields on each of his side that once the goblins attempted to stab through, sent them both flying about ten feet away from him. He than turned to the goblin on his right, a fireball already forming in his hand and launched it at him. The fireball quickly engulfed around the goblin incinerating it to a crisp before falling over.

While Adam was watching the goblin burn to death, the second goblin behind him attempted to stab him through the gut at full speed. Adam could easily have dodged it, but rather wanted to show more the strength of his magic at the time. The white glow from earlier when he applied his protection magic flared up at the point of impact, rippling throughout his body but he showed no sign of discomfort or pain. "A weakling like you could never hope to pierce my defensive magic." While the goblin stood there shocked he turned around and grabbed him by the head with his hand. The goblin struggled endlessly, the rippling of his barrier showing up at any blow that could have injured him. With his free hand he pulled out a necklace with what appeared to be a coin on the end and mumbled under his breathe "May he judged you fairly for your crimes." Adam's eyes glowed pure white and the hand around the goblin's head began to glow white and his face could visibly be seen burning before eventually a white light surrounded the goblin, disintegrating him entirely and only leaving two small burnt spots on the ground where his feet were touching the ground. With the two goblins defeated he left the arena and went to the Guildmaster to register as a white/black mage dual class.

Sulfurus entered the arena, after the other two finished showing off and noded he's ready. The very moment goblins were summoned he placed a rune on the ground and vanished into the thin air. Polearms could provide fatal against daggers but only for as long as they could keep the dostance. Everyone was watching and he wanted to make sure people take on the right judgment of his abilities. He reappeared from the shadow of one goblin and kicked him into the rune. It was a minor trapping spell, just enough to immobilise creatures of lesser intelect. As one of them found himself in a magic cage the other tried to thrust. Sulfurus' ghost step was, however, way beyond goblin's sensory perception. He blinked next to the goblin and tightened garrote around its neck then turned him against his trapped companion so they could see each other. Few moments later one of them was choked to death, but what death takes, Sulfurus kindly borrows back. He then animated dead goblin with a minor animation spell, ordered it to pick his spear and forced to strike his former companion. The blow went in as the immobilisation spell still held. That's what Sulfurus loved the most, finishing his targets in the most vile way yet using only as many resources as necessary. Every move and spell was of a magnitude fitting the enemy and the finessy he put into execution was mostly for show and only if it was required or wouldn't increase the risk of failure that is.

"It's done" - said he completely emotionless and.stepped down the sparring pit. - "Sulfurus, I guess we can say thief and black mage for the sake of tagging. If you have any further questions, ask." - said he to the guildmaster and stepped aside.

Zya entered the arena, knowing she'd finally be able to get her blood to stop boiling. This was going to be disgusting, why did it have to goblins? It was all her cursed demon blood anyways. Normally she didn't need her demon blood against goblins and she could it under control. Which was so much better. Zya mumbled.

"This is going to suck Royally."

The goblin came out with their spears, they noted she wasn't much bigger then they were if at all, perhaps smaller. Still goblins were cowardly and if they could get an advantage they would. Since Zya was just standing there, they decided to split up and flank her on both sides. Zya watched them as they moved to either side of her. Zya let her eyes glow green, even a slight red mist could be seen coming from her body now as blood started boil. Previously she wasn't prepared for the intense pain, now she was. This sucked so bad, she loathed pain, but not as much as what she was about to do, but at least only lasted momentarily, why goblins she cried iternally. She leaped toward on of the goblins taking her sword at the same time and sliced the first one cleanly in half along with its spear from its shoulder blade to its hip. The goblins guts and blood sprayed pufusely and Zya didn't even bother to avoid it. Her demon was estactic as blood and guts splashed on Zya's face. She licked it clean, god that tasted terrible. She turned and smiled evily at the last goblin and spoke and a cold tone.

"You're next." The goblin was already charging Zya hopping to get her off guard. Zya swayed to the side of the spear moved in and grabbed the goblin and bite into it, to munch and rip off its flesh as she ate it alive while it screamed for mercy. This taste so horrible Zya compalined. Why did her demon want to eat this. She felt noxious, but to others she was eating the flesh of the goblin with gusto. Luckily it vanished at it died. Blood and guts still dripped from Zya's mouth as she walked over to the guild master. She stopped and tooked out a napkin to wipe it off, she'd have to throw that away, disgusting, she felt so sick. Though, her demon was calm and she no longer felt any pain. The demon would be sated for a day, hopefully. Admittedly it made her incredibly strong and fast.

"Fighter Mage, more a fighter really, Zya is my name."

Kyuro enters the arena and his attention immediately focuses on both goblins. They are the same species of goblins as the ones that had tried to kill Lizaro. Kyuro knew he could slay them easily with his black magic, however, he wanted to show off a bit. He tore off his cloak revealing his dragon wings to those watching. With a serious look on his face, he channeled just a slight bit of his dragon side to make himself a bit more intimidating. This increase in presence drew the eyes of everyone present. It was impossible to not notice it. The first of the two goblins charged him a bit hesitant but going for his wings. Such a cheap tactic wouldn't work on Kyuro. He flapped his wings creating a strong gust of wind that knocked the goblin back. However, he failed to notice the second goblin had thrown his spear at him form behind. Unfortunately for the goblin, the spear hit the hard scales on Kyuro's wings and bounced off him harmlessly.

During this time, the goblins had regrouped and were about to launch their next attack when Kyuro held up a hand and calmly said, "Flame Whip." An arc of brilliant blue flame poured out from his hand. Kyuro took his flame in hand and within seconds, had decapitated both goblins with the flaming whip.

The test completed, Kyuro released the dragon energy and his presence went back to normal and once again, he donned his cloak.

Tio did not like Sulfurus at all, as a matter of fact, she wouldn't feel bad if someone killed him or he died or an adventure there is nothing so far that is likable about him in the slightest, Tio felt somewhat bad for the demon girl being a half-demon herself, but not bad enough that she wouldn't put her down if need be, tio has learned over the years that don't pick fights because plenty will come to you, while she is calm, level headed and friendly and such, there is a side to her that you don't want to force out if your wise because this rabbit is not always soft andf cuddly.
She watches the fight with amusement and then heads to register and says" Tio mixed range fighter, then signs the paper or whatever it is and then moves back. It was a very good thing she didn't use her magic ability's on top of all else it might of proved to be more trouble than it's worth at this stage.

Telwyn returned to the Guild Hall the morning of the test, his horse packed with haunches of boar, deer and rabbit and various herbs for apothecarial and culinary use it was a decent haul and the guild supplies would be plentiful for a while. He also had many pelts that he would work into leather and sell to the armour smith, this was how Telwyn predominantly made his money as the D rank missions did not pay well.

As the test was underway later that day Telwyn watched the other members and began to recall what had happened the previous year. One of the goblins had taken him by surprise and had the summon not been stopped he could have been fatally wounded, he was complacent and foolhardy in his efforts to impress the guild master, a mistake he would not make twice he studied carefully as each member took there turn to defeat the goblins. He noted that there were some impressive new members, the guild would rise in standing should they do as well as he perceived.

Once Kyuro had completed the test Telwyn stepped towards Fulgar and gave a nod to show he was ready. The two Goblins were summoned Telwyn stood still and awaited their advance, they charged towards him one behind the other. As the first Goblin thrusted his spear Telwyn drew his short sword and parried it and in one swift motion span and decapitated the front Goblin, before the head had hit the floor he sheathed his sword drew his bow and with a single shot pierced the heart of the second Goblin. It was over in a mere moment, he retrieved his arrow and approached the guild master to register for the second phase of the test. He bowed slightly "Telwyn, archer and journeyman of the healing arts at your service."
Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt.

Murdock observed the dancer named Tio fight. She seemed to be holding back and suffered a hit as a result. Then she took out the goblin. A lot of raw power, but a rookie mistake. Holding back too much could cost the lives of others. Still she defeated both Goblins so she was qualified for the next test.

Now it was Adam who went up, he used his magically splendidly to protect himself and attack the goblins. That would be useful on the field, as he was proving himself to be multitalented. Gramm woundered how well he'd do in a team or against more powerful foes. Adam walked to him after his battle and informed the Guild Master he was both a white and black mage class. Interesting, though his battle said as much.

Sulfurus was next, said he worked in the shadows well. The man showed that he had use of black magic and skill with deception and attack tactics. His ghost step allowed him to move quite fast. Quite useful indeed, Gramm observed. After the battle, Sulfurus informed the guildmaster he was a thief and a black mage. Indeed he was, a different kind of black mage then the previous, one who delt with necromancy, not a popular magical art in most opinions. Gramm knew it was useful though.

Zya was next, she was the one who had fell to the ground earlier, seemingly having a seizer of some kind. Gramm readied himself to stop the battle if need be. She seemed to be in pain when she went up to battle. However, she didn't act like it, she killed the first and savagely attacked the second like she was a mindless beast and seemed to be eating the goblins flesh. Well Gramm though, he didn't that everyday. After the goblin disapated she came up to him wiping off her face, and stated she was a fighter mage, but mainly just a fighter. Perhaps she used body enhancing magic? He needed to ask her about what had happened earlier. Strangely she didn't seem like she was in pain any more. Hmm, that was interesting.

Kyuro was up next, he revealed his nature as half dragon, a hybrid stronger than the goblins could ever hope to become. Which meant the goblins were doomed. He used a fire whip to kill both of them. Impressive, then he put his cloak back on now that he was finished. He had a lot of strength sure, but how much experience did he have Gramm wondered.

Tio then came up to the Guild Master before the next participant had walked onto the battlefield to fight the two summoned goblins. She told him she was mixed range fighter. Though her last attack was definitely a powerful up close attack. So Tio wasn't telling him about all of her abilities. It didn't matter to the Guild Master much, that was her choice, after all.

Next up was Telwyn, he hadn't done well last year when he joined. However, he had shown himself to be quite adept at completing D rank missions. He was difinitely more skilled then a D rank adventurer. This time when he faced the goblins he showed how much he had improved over the last year. As the others had done, he had come up and stated he was an archer and healer, but Gramm already knew that. He even was aware how skilled he was a healer and archer, so the next tests were pointless to give.

"Telwyn your test would normally end here and you'd be promoted to a C rank adventurer, however, I can make a few execptions in the rules.
So you can choose to move on take further tests or help test our new members. Do you want to try for a higher rank or just be promoted to C Rank?" Murdock waited for Telwyn's response.

Sulfurus patiently observed every fight. In his business you have know everything about everyone. Tio girl went ahead of him, he easily observed her fluid movements, she was definetly holding back, playing on the edge of error margin. She was quite similar to himself in the aspect of precision tho her combat style was less rogue like. The very moment when she ripped goblin's heart made him grin. "So that are your true colours" - he thought. Next was some guy.
"Mage" - he sighted. Sulfurus hated mages with passion. They were probably the most difficult ones to asses. Some will die in an instant others would be aware of your presence or saw your comming in a dog shite or other piece of crap. He had means to deal with them but these kind of jobs were never clean which resulted more often than not in lost bonus wages. And Nemezian mages knew their trade. Blowing up a manor for many of them was nothing more but a spit on the ground. Protection spells and fire balls... can it get any more cliche? But eventually he was done as well.
Then was his turn and as soon as he was done with the test, he returned to spectate the rest.
So thats this Zya from before. Yeah definately demon stench, although a hybrid it seems, definately not a Huon. It would seem that same decoctions should be effective in case she goes berserk. Awful finish I must say, not controling her emotions, reminds of Delana when she awakened devil's star within her. Tho Zya seems nowhere close to her, at least in that blind rage...
Now who have we here? Kyuro was he? Apart from the apetite and quite good taste of food seems to be also a frontline type, a bruiser even. Reminds me of Acaron Steelstrike, not afraid of taking on enemies in open combat. Pure brute strengh as well... Now, now another one, really focused, must have been around for a while if he sees no need to show off. Precise, silent, gets the job done... Telwyn? Have to remember that name some delicate missions require more than person to satify the client, that guy might be just ideal partner.

Now there were more of them to come and show their skils but so far the party seemed pretty universal.

IC: Gramm saw that his other Guild members were arriving, that would help administer the tests. There was one for white mages, archers, etc.

Gramm took the opportunity address all of them.

"All right, it is time to split up, take more than one test if you have the talent to do so. In this test you can make it to a B- rank. It's a measure of raw power or talent.

They'll test your attribue in Range and close quarter combat, both magical and non-magical, you'll attacking dummies, however, so utilize your best attack.

You'll also notice a few injured animals were brought in today. Those who practice healing arts will be asked to heal these animals, while a white mage watches over you.

Those who practice protection, magical or not will work at protecting dummies from range attacks both magical and nonmagical. In a later test tatctical defense will be tested if you make it that far.

Lastly, we have a test that both magical and non-magical can partake in, see the obstacle course, you'll be doing that. You may use magic. Your ability to go unnotice and complete it will both be noted.

OOC: Alright, it's on your characters again, given the different tests to post how they go down, just like before. Good luck. You need not complete all your tests at once. In fact do each test with a single post. The more tests you can accomplish, the higher your end rating results will be. The last test will be another combat one, but it'll be about teamwork, so you can think about two others you might want to team up with. Which will be the next test, which is the one in which you can get up to a B+ rank.

OCC: If at any point I try to show abilities far outside of what should be possible for B ranks please let me know and I'll be more than glad to change what needs to be changed

Once many finished their test with the goblins, the Guildmaster explained the next part of the tests. There would be multiple things to accomplish that would test various skills. Adam would focus more on the white mage tests, knowing most of his skills lied in protection and healing. He had only been studying as a black mage for the last five years and knew he be a bit more lacking. He heard they were to heal wounded animals as part of the white mage tests. Adam knew these type of tasks would be trivial, having treated many wounded animals back in the forest he and his mother grew up in. Wounded animals left by hunters were common and outside of a very few special cases, many could be healed without much of an issue.

He made his way to the are where they had the wounded animals. Many had minor wounds that were simple to fix without magic required really, but they wanted to see his potential, he would show them. He looked around a bit and first decided to start with a large brown bear that was unfortunate to get its foot stuck in a bear trap someone probably laid out on their property to protect themselves and their livestock. The bear looked in obvious pain and was still a bit vicious in its nature despite their efforts to calm it down. He closed his eyes for a moment and when he reopened them they were again white like they were earlier when he fought the goblins, not for fighting though, instead more calm. He begun to speak to the bear in the elven language in a soft voice, eventually comforting the bear enough for it to calm down and for him to approach. Continuing to speak in the elven language, "Time for you to sleep young bear, and once you awaken, I will have this infernal trap free from your foot and leg healed", and he released a white mist from his hand that quickly put the bear to sleep.

He turned to the white mage supervising him and continue to speak in the same calm voice at first in elven "I know..." he stopped himself quickly realizing he was still speaking elven to the mage and re spoke again in the more common language, "I know in a battle I won't have this luxury obviously, but in a more relaxed environment its much easier for me to treat and heal wounds when the patient is unconscious. I assume in the later test I'll be able to show more combat healing in practical use." He turned back to the bear and examined the trap stuck in his foot. The trap for the most part appeared clean, outside from the bear's own blood, meaning it was recently put out and not left for long. No spell for curing disease would be needed for this bear thankfully. He grabbed both ends of the trap, muttered a quick incantation and his hands glowed white, giving him for a brief moment enough strength to pull the trap apart and break it apart. He then held his still glowing hands around the damaged leg of the bear and began to speak incantations for healing.

Being a deep wound, Adam had to not only close the wound but also regenerate parts of the bear's leg to ensure he could walk just fine as he could before he stepped on the trap. The entire leg of the bear glowed white as he worked his healing magic through, regenerating parts of the leg missing due to the trap and also closing off the wound as a whole, leaving a large spot skin where the wound once was. He snapped his fingers in front of the bear's face, a puff of mist came out and the bear slowly woke up, groggy for a second, then anger thinking Adam might have done something horrible until it realized it was no longer in pain and noticed the trap no longer stuck to its leg. It quickly turned to what could be considered happiness for a bear and actually licked Adam across the face. He only chuckled in response and said to the bear "Rest easy now as you will soon return to your home with no issue." He then turned to the white mage supervising him and asked,

"I understand this is meant to show some of our true potential, do you have any small animals that passed in this room recently within the last ten minutes?"

After observing Adam approach and heal the bear the white mage move toward the bear to inpect the wound, the bear remained calm. Somehow the young bear knew this mage would not harm it, ordinarily it did not trust humans. Afterwards the white mage nodded and approached Adam.

"Well done on healing the animal, that was a tough one, it means you are a skilled healer. Yes healing in combat is it's own challenge, you'll be tested on that with our final test. If there are any other tests you'd like to take please do so. Don't worry about healing the other animals, I'll ensure they are all healed. Leave them for others to work their miracles and be tested."

The Guild Master took the opportunity to walk over to Zya.

"I need to ask you about what happened earlier, when you spilt your coffee. Are you a beserker or something like that? Have you lost control?"

Kyuro steps into the area for the magical and non-magical tests for ranged attacks. He examines the setup. The targets are 50 meters away and moving rapidly. He decides to do the non-magical part of the test first. Before him is a table with a bow, throwing knives and a slingshot. Before he begins, he channels some of his dragon side to enhance his natural abilities. It takes about 60 seconds for the dragon power to enhance his skills. He picks up the bow and easily hits the bullseye of the target and the vital points of the other targets. He does the same with the slingshot and knives. It wasn't really much of a challenge for him.

Kyuro then looks to the targets for the magical ranged attacks. He fired a few fireballs at them in rapid succession. Due to his training, this was even less of a challenge than the non-magical part. He didn't even need his dragon side to easily complete this test. He fired various shapes of fireballs at the targets. He decided to show off a little and have his fire form the kanji for fire which completely destroyed the targets.

He walks out of the arena slightly disappointed with the lack of challenge. Regardless, it was obvious that he had passed with flying colors.

He sees the Guild Master approach Zya and his curiosity gets the better of him and so he approaches to find out what they are discussing.

Zya understood what Murdock was asking her and why. She noticed the half elf dragon apporach as well after he took the range test. Though that didn't matter to her, the more who knew of her condition the better. She hated repeating herself, it was simply a waste of time.

"I was just in an incredible amount of pain sir. I didn't lose control, it isn't something that will happen. Although I don't look like it, I'm a half demon." Zya then paused and continued after a bit.

"Sorry for that ghastly display earlier, my demon side craves guts and blood and unless I sate it, my pain and illnesses as a result are tremendous, not that I don't have some illness and pain from it all the time. For sometime I thought it was normal to be wracked with constant pain. I suppose one bonus to that if I get gutted by a claw or sword, I don't even notice it during the battle. Afterwards though it starts to fester and blister, its ugly and quite painful, but it seems that is just how my body heals. I even tried to kill myself before to end my torment by cutting off my leg. I managed to cut it off, that hurt, but as you can see its fine. I should have bleed to death. There was a quite a lot of blood that flowed initally, but it feasted up quickly, and I became feverish." She stopped with her explaination and looked up at the Guild Master pleadingly.

"This is why I wanted you to end my life, I want the torment to stop, and I figured you could kill me instantly, anything short of that is just going to be hell while my body regenerates itself."

Gramm considered what Zya had to say about that incident, hmm. That could be problematic if it occurred during battle.

"My only issue is that it will affect you combat effectiveness if it occurs while your fighting."

Zya actually laughed at Gramm's remark.

"It always happens when I fight, my body is in complete in utter intense pain, but I expect it. I had left my guard down when I was having coffee, normally drinking coffee just brings me pleasure. Something change that, I'm not sure of what yet." Saying that Tanya was sure it was someone in the Guild that had caused it. She even frowned her eyebrows in thought on the matter. Anyways it was time to take the tests.

"Just for the record, I think your tests are lame." After which she went out to take the obstacle course, which was since considering the strength and prowess her demon blood granted her to her already natural abilities of an well of good stock. To say she finished the obstacle and made it appear to be child's play. On that note she was sure it was to most of the new recruits, most of them appeared to be promising.
