RE: Code Lyoko (NexGen) [Everyone Welcome]

[The Story Thus Far....]

It was said that there was a virtual place that was beautiful, a window through space and time; you could be in one spot then simply change and be apart of the next. This was known by a name; Lyoko. It had its histories, and had its fair share of evils; it also had its fair share of serenity. That was a long time ago, inside this virtual reality called Lyoko where three teenagers had gone inside to stop a harmful artificial intelligence called X.A.N.A. It seemed like the battle had been won; but, that was their story nearly two decades later the MetaCorp a booming software and gaming company had taken the broken remnants of Lyoko and built a new world upon the ashes.

Three years later the game was finished, but they needed testers to go inside the game and check if there were bugs. And there were; however instead of fixing them right away, those bugs were apart of X.A.N.A's old coding. The creator of this new Lyoko did not want to change anything. Lyoko was suppose to be a paradise where gamers of all sorts could come together as and unite against the A.I.

X.A.N.A awoke, and slipped into the real world; thus began learning how to react to things, yet this artificial intelligence was broken code and needed various patchwork to become perfect. The testers did not fear X.A.N.A and X.A.N.A did not fear the testers.

Two months after, an anomaly had surfaced and the neither the testers or developers could fix this, it was, evolving from old code, and split into four different fractions. They took over Lyoko, moulded it into something more sinister and terrifying. These were known as Overseers: The Predatorial Mind, known for its offensive based attack patterns and maneuverability. The Defensive Mind, simply known for its unyielding defense and shields. The Genesis Mind, paired up with the Hive Mind, the Genesis Mind; sought out targets whilst the Hive Mind took them over.

Through X.A.N.A's attempts to reach the developers and testers and failing the game was launched... but the players minds were trapped inside and had become a part of Lyoko.

Lastly the Inferior and Superior Minds, they would combine into the Orpheus Mind, this was the one that had spread chaos and descent up Lyoko. It was up to four friends to hack into Lyoko and defeat the rouge anomalies.

For the first time X.A.N.A calls for help in hopes to destroy the Overseers. Now Lyoko is in the "hackers" hands will they succeed in bringing the evil to their demise, or perish as quickly as they entered.

[The Breakdown]
This is an original idea that I had been working on for a NexGen storyline, I figured there is really no need for old characters nor is there reason to even follow the same linear story, I want to see this be an original work all its own. Basically I want everyone to be creative and bring in original characteres.

[Introductory Post]

Nixon, or as he was known for most of his online games as FightingLion__ was sitting in his schools cafeteria scrolling through his smartphone as he had heard hype based on this new game called "Lyoko". Now it wasn't entirely new news, because he had heard the name once before that. In the article it read that the MetaCorp found the old Lyoko and wanted to expand on it, but give it a more in depth feel where players could immerse themselves completely with the help of their new state of the art equipment that fit right upon the players head. The article itself was long and drawn out, so he didn't read anymore than he had to. But it sounded like it had a lot of potential and sounded like a great concept. However his parents were going to say no about the gaming set, so that meant having to mow lawns and save up. However it was exciting to hear. The young man sat there and looked up at the ceiling, he wished he had something to do rather than just play Heroes Tale for the ninth time.
