I have a copy of both. Finished Sun with not 100% Dex and slooowly working on Moon.

Since before Sun and Moon I think I last played X & Y.

Flip a coin. The main significant difference is Moon runs 12 hours ahead, so if its daytime in the world on your system's clock, it'll be night-time in the game. Plus the cutscenes happen in the evening/night rather than morning/day in Sun.

Well, I did just remember about the version exclusives, and I like more of the ones in Moon, so I'll probably be getting that. Only pokemon I saw on Sun exclusives that I would definitely be trading for is Alolan Ninetales.

Considering the idea of the games is to trade, I never worry too much about version exclusives.
