my GM said that a cough is a "COVID like symptom" So I cannot be there today

I have asthma it's an asthma symptom.

I do as well. And I know but because of the company restrictions they are labeling it as a COVID symptom. fml

Yeah companies are just taking restrictions thr only thing I'd that sucks you have a cold a d omg you have covid not.

If I had COVID symptoms I’d just work from home

symptoms are similar so I’m sure many have already been sent home who just had a cold

I dont have a work from home option lol

It’s not an option for me. If I’m sick and able, I will need to work.

Not all my work can be done from home.

I work with food so coughing all day isn't an option really.

If I have a cough I have to take a rapid test, so far all negative

well I TECHNICALLY work for a restaurant. But my position doesn't have anything to do with guest contact so I can stay away from people. I also did a rapid test, AND a send away lab test. Both came back negative but I mean they could have been false negatives?? I have no idea. All I know is that I cannot return to work until this cough is sorted which kind of screws me over.
