      Really good tutorial for intermediate photoshoppers. Though i would want the artists not to go overboard after the 4th step since clipping masks shouldnt destroy the main stock which unfortunately happens later on.

      I never even use clipping masks for those splatter effects, i tend to make a selection of my splatter or brush, and select the layer with the picture i want to put into that selection and click CRTL+J to make a nee layer with the splatter brush shape of the pictrue below.

      Yeah but in the case of clipping mask you dont need to select the image you want on the brushes everytime if you feel like changing it .
      Trust me , the pro's use this everytime

      I've used it once, i may use it more in later work when i actually find it useful.
      But for now i find my easier seeing as i use CTRL+J for alot of things usually for borders or colour enchancements.

      Well ctrl+j isn't a bad way for newbs, your keeping your layers as layers and not getting confused with the layer masking.
