      Akame ga Kill

I watched the anime awhile ago, and just finished the manga a few weeks ago. It was a fun ride. I love seeing bad guys get their come-uppance, although I love Esdeath. What are your thoughts?

I'm buying the manga, but I haven't finished it yet. I've seen the anime long time ago and I liked it. That's why I started buying the manga.

The smart way to keep people passive and obedient is to strictly limit the spectrum of acceptable opinion, but allow very lively debate within that spectrum—even encourage the more critical and dissident views. That gives people the sense that there's free thinking going on, while all the time the presuppositions of the system are being reinforced by the limits put on the range of the debate. It's even more fun. There are a lot of extra fights that the anime didn't show.

I struggle with the anime, I watched a but the jarring jump from seriousness to comedy made it a little less enjoyable and I stopped.
