      Alternative Game - Ever-changing World

Have you ever wanted to try you hand at an RP but wasn't sure you want commit the time? Maybe you're the type that is worried that if you start you'd feel bad about dropping if something comes up or you decide RPing isn't for you well I got something for you. Super casual easy to follow and puts everyone on same level or rather the writing skills of others has no impact on your own writing style. And to top it all off its a game.
Ok so this is my 1st actual thread I figured spice things up and do something a bit different.

      Ever-changing World Story Building Game

So this turns the normal casual RP and turns it on its head. Instead of being one character you are all of them or can be as many as you like. You control the whole RP for your "turn". Interested? Here's how It works.

The setting and a character will be introduced for the opener this opener will be the only post required to have extra detail just to get things going. This opener post and all posts after must end on something the next post can build off of EXAMPLE " Fate opened the box in front of him" the next person to post can determine what's in that box can be anything within reason. But who rights this post you ask? ANYBODY. Object of the game is to make the most interesting and longest story as possible. And you don't need to commit to this either so if you're new and just want to test drive your writing with a single post, GO FOR IT!!

Ok there are a few rules

      1. This is super casual every post ( Except 1st) Can be a single line or several paragraphs . ITS UP TO YOU
      2. No reality Warping: If the story is currently in the desert you can't teleport the story to the moon. The forum poster (Me) reserves right to reality Warp if the story is taken to a state that it can't continue or if someone broke a rule
      3. Must make logical sense: You want put magic or something into our tale go ahead. What you should not do is if in the last post a character was a pacifist don't change them into a god of war for no reason.
      4. You can only post once a day UNLESS someone else has continued the story from where you left off. double-Triple posting is ok so long you follow this rule
      5. Do your best forget the rest have fun! If you are uncertain on something feel freel to ask OOC:

Now as for the tales beginning? I figured give you guys a chance to start us off if not I'll come back and do it myself.

Alrighty let's have some fun! oh and I may add challenges with prizes or may give random prizes for doing a good post so keep your eyes peeled

Re: Alternative Game - Ever-changing World

The back of her skull above and behind her right ear throbbed. Reaching up, her fingers caressed the hot, pulsating bump, making her wince. But it seemed only bruised, not broken. With a low moan, she slowly opened her eys and frowned.

She was on some kind of motorboat, lying on the floor....?

Deck, some part of her corrected. It's called the deck.

Well, the deck was rolling with the water, making her stomach heave

Gingerly, she reached out and found a handhold, then pulled herself upright. The boat reeked of fish. At the rear, she saw a couple of cinderblocks, their insides black with soot, while a small metal grill lying on top.

Rocket stove, something said inside her.

      Where was she?

She reached out to grab a railing, and managed to get herself on her feet. Dirty, salt-encrusted windows showed the boat was floating in an inlet, looking at a beach nearby.

OOC: @Expendable do we got a name?

IC: She looked intently out the window towards the beach too see if anything looked familiar. Nothing did in fact there was nothing on the beach at all

      Look around The voice said

She walked towards the cinder blocks.

ooc: @Fate : no name. Bump on her head, she may have amnesia. She may be alone on the boat, or maybe there's someone below...?

IC: The blocks were cold, so they'd not been used today. A pile of actual charcoal was in a bucket, so it wasn't cold for a lack of fuel.

Reluctantly she stood up, surveying the cabin and its tiny hatch leading below. While she knew what everything was, this boat wasn't familiar to her. So how did she wind up here?

"H... hello?" she tried, wincing. Her throat was sore, and she massaged it for a long moment.

There was no choice, she needed to venture below.

With a reluctant and mildly painful swallow, she reached for the door....

As she opened the door she was overtaken by the stench of dead fish. Upon looking through the door it was pitch black not a thing could be seen

*Yet somehow she knew exactly where the light source was*

She went torwards it not able to shake an unfamiliar feeling and the pain in her head increased.

      She lit the lantern

Re: Alternative Game - Ever-changing World

Two really ripe fish-heads laid on the corner of the tiny galley counter. There was a pot of fish chowder, it had burned dry, hard to tell when, but the flame was out now.

      Did she start that?

The few windows in the cabin had been painted over - as if someone didn't want the light inside to be spilling out.

"Well, this is all yours now," she said with a little smile. "My little world...."

Puzzlement flashed across her face, then set up camp.

"If it's my world," she mused, "What's my name?"

As she tried to contemplate what her name her pain increased

Then all of the sudden the floor swayed she nearly fell over

She was in a boat after all. Maybe some strong waves came in. Loud creeks could be heard and it grew cold

She decided to find a source of heat hoping as she looked she may remember something

Re: Alternative Game - Ever-changing World

On the opposite side of the galley there was some cabinets and an electronics rack, with a fire axe sticking out of the radio. Just aft of that was an open hatch that lead down to the engine room, smelling strongly of diesel fuel. Carefully, she stepped down into the compartment. Light was streaming in through a line of small rounded holes, showing the two engines side by side, covered in soot and grime - and their base was washed in diesel fuel. A tank was set up under the galley, there were a couple round holes in it.

"Well, I'm not going anywhere in this," she muttered.

She returned to the galley and checked the cabinets, finding a bag of tools, duct tape, a boat hook, some rope, and a couple of yellow rain slickers, all much too big for her. Past the galley were two bench seats on opposite sides and a slim table. The benches had a long vinyl seat cushion and two half-sized cushions against the hull as the seat backs. A crumpled pile of gray army blankets laid on the deck on either side - clearly this was the bedroom and the mess.

At least the blankets would be useful. A hook was set in the ceiling, so she hung the lantern there.

As she picked up one of the piles, she found under it a first aid kit, lying open and about half-full, with dried blood on some of the neat little packages.

"What happened here?" she wondered, dumping the blankets onto the seat. Kneeling down, she rooted around until she found a small bottle of ibuprofen. She shook out three oblong tablets and dry-swallowed them.

"I can't stay here," she sighed, puting the tiny bottle back in the kit and closing it up. "I'm still close to shore. Gotta gather what I can and bundle it up, take it the beach before the tide starts pulling us out to sea."

Just as she says it almost on cue the boat begun to shake more violently.

"Is the tide changing I must hurry"

Despite the alarming situation she was quite calm. She began to pack the items in order of importance not knowing what was ashore. She then placed them on the cushion for now. Then she decided she needs to find a life preserver...

The tide was going out, she was already a distance from the shore. Worse, it looked like fog was gathering on the water. Hurriedly she laid a rain slicker on top of the ring life preserver, and piled the supplies on top. She blew out the lantern and set it aside as she bundled the rest of it, using the rope she found to bind it all together. Tying the lantern on top, she grabbed a life vest and slipped it on, then picked up the awkward bundle and jumped into the cold water.

"Oh my g...," she managed, then began swimming towards shore, pushing the floating bundle in front of her.

She struggled as she was pushing. Seconds felt like hours. She was already exhausted when she first awoke but the events that happened after only furthered the issue.

Eventually after what seemed like an eternity she was almost to shore

"Jacob! Bearing 30 degrees to starboard! It's the Mary Sue!"

"Are you sure?" Jacob asked, grabbing his binoculars and catching an indistinct shape in the flog.

      "Who else can it be?"

"We gotta be sure," Jacob growled, lowering the binoculars. "The boss wants that lady dead."

His right hand moved to the throttle and he squeezed the handles and shoved them up to two-thirds, while his left spun the wheel to move towards the shadow.

"It's the boat! It's the boat!" the lookout said hoarsely as it loomed out of the mists.

"Get on deck and sink that boat!" Jacob roared. Guns began firing, pelting the small fishing boat's cabin.

"No!" Jacob yelled. "The waterline! Shot it below the waterline!"

After the first few shots, the boat began to tip as water began pouring into the hull of the fishing boat. It was very anti-climatic. He watched as the fishing boat floundered under the waves.

"Cease fire! Did anyone see her? Really see her?" he demanded.

"Maybe we shot her in the first volley?"

Just as she was getting her bearings loud noises were heard. It wasn't thunder. She quickly looked and saw a boat in the distance. It was firing weapons of some sort.

      Was she being shot at?

*Run hurry* The voice in her head scream her ears ringing from the shots and her head in excruciating pain.
