      Weapons

Hi is there something about bringing the characters weapons to the convention? I read somewhere a while ago about concealing them through transport A to b. But I'm not sure what are the restrictions, I'm planing to make a three dimensional Attack on titans manuevere gear and was wondering what I should avoid using? Like materials ect so they will be allowed in?

And also, to fellow experienced weapon makers what is your preferred material of using? Thank you if you can help. :-)

      Re: Weapons

I've had no issues with wooden/plastic painted weapons with no colors at alcon , the plastics are normally 3d print and the wood is a very light MDF. The attack on titan gear sound cool!

      Re: Weapons

I remembered when I first joined anime league at the London MCM whilst studying it that their was a restricted rules aboutbcertain weapons that couldn't be used oe enter the con and travel to and from the convention. Well for obvious reasons I get completely and it didn't affect me up until now. Granted theyd probabot he crappily made Lol

I had no issues at Birmingham mcm, they just tapped it and said yep carry on, there was a rather funny moment where a guy tried to take metal wolverine claws in! And the best bit was he was complaining that he had just sharpened them to!

You can find the AL rules on cosplay props HERE

The general rule is if it hurts someone or looks too real, don't bring it.
