      There are many good anime in this season it seems. Not so many super-top, but it's hard to drop many. I hope I find time to watch all.

      The smart way to keep people passive and obedient is to strictly limit the spectrum of acceptable opinion, but allow very lively debate within that spectrum—even encourage the more critical and dissident views. That gives people the sense that there's free thinking going on, while all the time the presuppositions of the system are being reinforced by the limits put on the range of the debate. Is isekai only popular because it makes stories in common fantasy settings relateable?

      @Momogari

      In my opinion, isekai is popular because being a gamer is popular. Many isekai do plots in a similar way games do them. It's probably not the whole story, but I think gaming is an important element of isekai popularity.

      What's your opinion?
