Does drawing or writing ever stress you out?

This might sound like a dumb question but i wondered if i'm alone where drawing can sometimes stress me out just as much as it relaxes me.

Sometimes drawings just dont go as planned and when you've invested hours and hours into it, the thought of having to start from scratch is heart-breaking.

Re: Does drawing or writing ever stress you out?

at the moment i'm in a state where i know i suck at drawing and i'm completely okay with it

so the only thing i can do is improve

and i find that very liberating, and makes drawing a very stress free, or even stress reducing experience

      it's nice

Re: Does drawing or writing ever stress you out?

Sometimes I'm half-way through making something in Sketchup and realize I made a mistake and start over.

Sometimes to make it easier to get back, I work in stages. So if I'm building a house, stage 1 would be the building the base of the house. Stage 2 would be the ground floor or a room on the ground floor, depending. And so forth.

I have lost stuff I've written, but in my process, my first draft is my trying to make my way through from the beginning to where I think I want to end the story. On the rewrite, I no longer need to work it out, so I can do more about cleaning and tightening it.

Re: Does drawing or writing ever stress you out?

Writing does stress me out as its hard to get all my thoughts out and get the right words to express how I am feeling and get everything how I want it drawing i find more relaxing but writing takes me a long time to get the words out.
