#1. Newcomers Guardian Scheme
Responsibilities:
- Post in as many new threads in Entrance Hall as possible each week.
- Try to target threads with the least amount of responses first. It's important that everyone receives our warmest welcomes equally.
- DO NOT copy and paste responses. Each of your posts need to be original and invite the newcomer to converse with you.
- Answer questions when possible, try to be helpful, suggest things around AL that may be of interest.
- You may wish to opt to send newcomers an AL friend invite!
- You may wish to PM newcomers and/or msg them on their wall
- Report any problems or issues to the Entrance Hall moderator team.
Ways To Interact with Newcomers:
- Inquire about basic details like hobbies, age, unique interests, etc. If a hobby or interest matches a section in AnimeLeague provide a link to that section. i.e. If member is a roleplayer or writer suggest Roleplayers’ Sanctuary as well as Creative Arts.
- If UK based ask if going Alcon/LAGC and if not, suggest they check it out. Ask if interested in any of the meets and link them to the meets forum.
- Suggest to make an AL Journal.
- Suggest CrazyLeague if they want to post casually and have fun. Make a topic in CrazyLeague with a mention.
- Make sure they are aware of any big forum events/happenings and encourage them to get involved!
- When suggesting a new section to join in AnimeLeague, DO NOT use abbreviations. Please type: "Check out our Video Game section!" Instead of "Check out our VG section" etc.
THE PRORITY: This is about quality over quantity. Animeleague gets many newcomers, many even post around, but few stay. One newcomer that stays and becomes a regular member is worth more than ten newcomers who make a few posts and then vanish! So engage with them, help them feel a part of the community and involve them with events, topics and activities! Basically, become their friend!
#2. Recruiting New Members to Animeleague Scheme
Responsibilities:
- Recruit five member from outside of AL a month and get them active and making at least 35 posts each in that first month and regularly involved
- Not mandatory but bonus if you recruit more than five, and get them to 100 posts each.
- Not mandatory but additional bonus if you can persuade them to signup to become an assistant
THE PRORITY: WORD OF MOUTH! This needs to be about speaking to people one on one! Quality over quantity! Getting 20 people registering is useless if none of them post! As such sigs promoting us, general fb posts etc aren't too useful. It really does need to be speaking to people personally.
Recruitment Tools:
- Your own friends and people you already know both online and IRL and persuading them to signup.
- Speaking to people off of other forums, communities, fb etc. PMing them, msging them, engaging with them on chats, groups etc and getting them one on one private and then registered and active.
- Speaking to other people you know and getting them to help bring in people themselves.
#3. Getting Existing Members back to Animeleague Scheme
Responsibilities:
- Get five members active who are already on AL, have been on AL for a month but either never got active or stopped being active. Get them making at least 35 posts each in that first month back and regularly involved
- Not mandatory but bonus if you recruit more than five, and get them to more than 100 posts made.
- Not mandatory but additional bonus if you can persuade them to signup to become an assistant (or if high level back to staff)
THE PRORITY: AGAIN IT'S WORD OF MOUTH! This needs to be about speaking to people one on one! Quality over quantity! Getting 20 people back is useless if they vanish after a few days again!
Recruitment Tools:
- Your own friends and people you already know both online and IRL and persuading them to return
- Speaking to other people you know and getting them to help bring in people themselves.
- (Not optimal but will be required for quite a few) Speaking to past members you DONT know. PM me and I will provide you with a list of 50-100 skype names put in profiles to add on to your skype
- Mass Friend Request - if you fancy I can set your profile up so it sends out a friend request to every inactive member - if you agree to do this then make sure to reply to them if/when they PM and/or post on your wall
#4. General Forum Activity Raising Scheme
Responsibilities:
- Make at least 30 posts a week yourself personally across AL (You can check this via the stats page)
- Ideally ensure your posts are focused on involving and including others, getting people active and so forth.
- Make 5 new topics a week across AL. They can be anywhere, but should be interesting topics that encourage engagement and people getting involved
- Not mandatory but bonus if you make debates, discussions, events, contests, games, RPs etc which are a success. Consider PMing the hmod of that area if it's a big-big idea or topic
THE PRORITY: Engaging people! Getting them involved! Making new content and contributing to content in a way that isn't simply +1 post. (Even in Crazy League if you're going to spam, make the short post amusing/entertaining rather than just a one word post).
#5. General Chatroom Activity Raising Scheme
Responsibilities:
- Making at least 60 lines of chat a week. (You can check this via the stats page)
- Ideally ensure your chatting is focused on involving and including others, getting people active and so forth.
- Consider msging chatroom members privately over chat and getting them involved (some newcomers can be shy to chat!)
- Bonus if you also sign up to become a radio DJ (Not mandatory)
THE PRORITY: An active happy chatroom where people are engaged and involved in it! The chat is meant to be the central hub for AL - let's get that active and bustling again!
