Pretty much, I got roped into playing FC about 7 months ago and pretty much using the lockdown as an opportunity to get through the series up to now.

Currently playing Trails of Cold Steel, having played the previous 5 Trails games before now. Phantom Blood is pretty much the set-up for most of the series. It's not bad at all, but definitely lacks some of the charm of the later parts. You'd be pleased to know that Battle Tendency is an overall fan favourite.

Update: Haru's problem is she's got the reputation of the person that... gets around a bit, thus her issues.

The 'Beastar' in universe is a title at the school (forgot to mention school setting) that is essentially heralded as a hero, that is able to get past the prejudices of the society they're in

First main character is Legoshi, a depressed wolf struggling with repressed killing instinct.

Other MC is Haru, a rabbit similarly done with life, suffering with issues with bullying.

The intro is stop motion animation which is pretty cool. Also opening theme is pretty good.

Ok so Zootopia comparison is pretty apt. Same basic concept for the most part, society of animals with a lot of interspecies tension based on herbivore/carnivore divide. Also a lot of racism (specism?)

Was recommended this a while ago as 'hardcore Zootopia' or something to that effect.
