Annoying amount of spam emails about McAfee anti-virus
Try setting wildcards in your filters to minimize it. Unfortunately spam is still an effective way to scam people so there will always be some spam that gets through.

What game(s) are you currently playing? How far have you gotten?
Played through Prototype 2 again after years, then realized I don't remember anything about Prototype 1 so playing though that now. Man... 1280x720 resolution still looks pretty good.

Alton Towers (UK Theme Park) bans people with certain disabilities from Disability pass
I blame the Simpsons for that, several years ago they said Bart had ADD (Attention Deficit Disorder), and ever since, any badly behaved child with the attention span of a Gnat, the Parents are like "Oh he/she has that Attention Deifcit Disorder" like it's somehow "cool". Right? I mean I'm not the o...

Alton Towers (UK Theme Park) bans people with certain disabilities from Disability pass
With more and more people claiming the pass, some disabled visitors were facing longer waits than the main queue, which the company said was "not the experience we want for anyone". I mean... It's quite clear why they wanted to make the change... Guess they'd have to add a 3rd queue to all rides th...

Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 charger
I don't know about a physical shop, but your favourite site AliExpress seems to have one for about a tenner. PLEASE DO NOT RECOMMEND SITES LIKE THAT FOR CHARGING UNLESS THEY'RE CABLE TO COMPUTER ONLY as far as i know, wall outlet chargers are not held to a standard (yet) for things like USB-C, so i...

Valve Announces Steam Machine, Steam Controller, Steam Frame Hardware
There's also the issue that the majority of games on Steam don't work on Linux without intense technical faffery. Yeah there are a few that take a bit of extra messing about with, but all the games on Steams "SteamOS + Linux" list work fine. Support has gotten a lot better. Taking an extra 5 minute...

Valve Announces Steam Machine, Steam Controller, Steam Frame Hardware
I remember Steam machines sounded cool back in 2011 when Valve first talked about the concept, but I don't really see the appeal for them these days. If you want power, you're going to build a proper PC and if you just want something small to do lightweight couch games, then you might as well just g...

Meh, Ninja Ripper needs paying for, I wanted free stuff! Try again. It's like you're not even reading... Ninja Ripper is optional, you only need it if you want to rip assets from other games. It isn't necessary to make a game in Unity or UE5, it was just an example of what I used to extract game as...

I mean there isn't much to a specific game engine. You still use the same basics and write the same code. The only difference is the IDE, which is just a matter of getting on with it. Best place to look for tutorials is Youtube, just search for "unity game dev basic tutorial", find a guy and look fo...

Tried out the Calyx demo. It is a singleplayer RTS and feels inspired by Creeper World where the enemy always acts the same way. Basically you fight alien nature that spreads across the map and you have to slowly push it back to the spawner and destroy it. Quite slow paced, the enemy is predictable ...

Just get rechargeables mate. Never have to run out to get batteries again cause even if you forget to charge them, they'll be ready in a few hours.

Been playing some Noita. Pretty RNG heavy for getting a successful winning run, but the wand building is a ton of fun. Apparently doing side quests and bosses can take weeks... and its permadeath... so yeah, losing a run that is 20+ hours in is brutal...
